I confess, I am ADDICTED TO Langer's OJ. It's sooo delicious. And only Costco seems to carry the pasteurized gallons you can store for weeks in a closet.

What if Costco, Heaven forbid !!, decides to ,,, cancel ALL SHIPMENTS FROM MARS, or whereever, of ALL LANGER'S OJ,,, and their MANGO JUICE ??

What will I do?
How will I ,,, live?
Will breakfasts never-ever be the same, or as Good?
Will Republicans argue with Democrats in Congress for weeks that they will all become Boy Scout virtuous, if Langers and Costco agree , for "National Security" reasons that ,,,
THE JUICE MUST GO THRU ?

VA-sf, why are your eyeglass frames so cheap ugly and limited ?

Yikes.

Hillary may lose the entire West Coast. Ouch.

Triple ouch.

I accuse Google of trying to control civil free speech on Blogger; If they don't like what you are typing, your screen freezes and you get lots of error messages. This is un-American.

Google needs to be publically spanked by Congress.

Smart well-educated women do not like Kamala Harris for State Senator.

The news media should find out why.

The French move to California to do something that would be illegal in France: Raising the rent on working poor in the Bay Area 11-17% with no rental apartment surplus to move to and no price competition.

So unethical.
So unfair.
Shameful.
Are they good Catholics, tout ?

Thought price-fixing of an entire market cooperatively was illegal in the USA.

HP printers: STRONGLY NOT RECOMMENDED

Our family tried that brand for years, after LOUSY Epson.

The last big black "all in one" HP printer we bought at Office Max was 7 DEFECTIVE HP PRINTERS IN A ROW.

The manager of the Silicon Valley Office Depot just kept telling us "If it won't even set-up, then just bring it back in the big box and we will give you another one." No hassle, but what a waste of parts and time !!

We are sooo happy with our BROTHER PRINTER. The inkjet cartridges load so easily in the right front.

DUH BASICS: Yosemite

1- Entrance fees are way too high. $300 for a 45ft bus with only 5 passengers, a driver and a tour guide. The 4 entrance stations are not manned 24-7, so if you get there early and leave late, you skip the 90day wonder gate rangette, and don't pay. Or you can buy an annual pass.

2- 120 Tioga Pass from Lee Vining, eat fried chicken at Nicely's, is by far the most scenic entrance/exit. Then 140 along Merced in Spring.
Then 120 quicky from SF.
Then 41 from gang mother-rape dangerous Fresno and questionable points South. The Valley is at 4000ft elecation,1mi x 7mi, so less than a little of the huge, over 1000 sq.mi. park.

3- Best months to see the waterfalls , in the Valley, is APRIL and MAY, sometimes with a heavy rain Winter even JUNE.  That's it. The Summer crowds arrive in late May.

4- Curry tent cabins are way way way overpriced.  Alternative is to stay in motel in Oakhurst on 41.
Pretty well must take 2 hr Valley Floor Tour open air , benches for 70 ride for about $25. Especially "Moonlight Valley Tour" in Spring, full moon, at night, and DOUBLE RAINBOWS IN THE WATERFALLS people. Very very special.  Blankets and hot chocolate.

5- Highly recommend cheap booklet "YOSEMITE ROAD GUIDE", was $5 for decades , now like $20.

DUH BASICS : Santa Cruz

1- Does not have SF-strong popular effective , less than 2%, rent conrol.
Should.
But doesn't.
County wide.

Done.

DUH BASICS : Lake Tahoe, sf's Summer playground

1- Take Hwy 50's only 2 lanes if you are a speeder, an idiot, an alcoholic, and or just don't give a damn.

2- Take Hwy 80, if you are not insane. Stop in Truckee, the old town side only, not the sprawl slum of new town. Stop at Alpine Meadows and not Squaw Valley.
Stop and stay at Tahoe City area, like Sinatra's old casino or rent a condo. No you may not have my cheap motel with hottub and view on roof !!

3- if I can bicycle clockwise around the lake in a day, any dumbass can also with like no safe bike lane. Hey, thrill-seekers.

DUH BASICS: Frisco, SF, San Fran, the city

1- There are 44 hills.
So tho I like women in highheels, day or night, bring comfy shoes. Free walking tours thru "sf city guides", any hotel should have the brochure. 36 green french automatic cleaning after every use loos on sidewalk. There's a loo locator app, I kid you not.

2-The coldest days and nights are the FOGGY ones of JUNE, JULY, AND "FOGEST". DAY-times in the 50F's and you usually can not see at the top of TwinPeaks, geographic center, nor the Golden Gate bridge, the only one you can bicycle/walk all the way to sf on.

3-SF is built mostly on sand, think Florida sinkholes, every where. Most of the buildings are wooden framed, old as in ancient, and insanely 25ft narrow with dangerously old wiring and plumbing, dang few elevators, and 1BR rent of about $4k/mo. does Not include a safe secure garage parking space. But there is strong effective and popular rent control of like 1-2% if you stay in an old subdivided firetrap of an ugly face house.

4- Alcatraz in Summer has a ferry from pier 33 that in Summer IS USUALLY BOOKED WEEKS IN ADVANCE. This is for all those who don't read, don't ask, and follow the herd. So show up, try to book for the same day in Summer, get all upset because it is so 1000s/day popular, and show us how stupid you are. What other city in the world starts with "Let's go to prison !!"?

5- Alternatives, for the non-brain dead?
Beach Blanket Babylon, the longest running theatre in the USA sold out over 40 years.(tardies do not get in) Cabaret of fab voices, great humor, and wonderful costuming.
MOMA just reopened, so rent a wheelchair and a docent and "cruise".
Also Asian Art Museum and Legion of Honor Museum. By wheelchair.
Bicycle, with electric bikes for rent by the Fisherman's Wharf Holiday Inn Express.
Ask for the $25/day bike rate, of a few years ago.
Rollerskates from Haight Street to no car skate JFK DRIVE in Golden Gate Park on Sunday.
Visit Beach Chalet, Blue Sky dim sum, and Scoma's on pier 47 for best freshest fish, bfast in line at Washington Square, and pizza world award-winning at Tony's on opposite corner, gelato at Naia, lunch at Henry Hunan's hot and sour soup, and dine w Coppola at his green rust copper famous restaurant, Hamburgers in Sausalito for Bay Areas best cheeseburfer, try oldest Tadich's, definitely pop for $15 zagat restaurant guide of over 3500 in sf.

6- Unsafe neighborhoods are Tenderloin, west of 5th , and projects called Western Addition , south of Geary Street, and the entire ugly poor crime central of the SE Quarter. You rarely see a cop in SF. Duh, wtf !? That's the way it is.

There are way too many rich immigrants learning how to drive by running red lights in very expensive cars. Always use the crosswalk and look both ways !!  UCSF MED SCHOOL is by far best hospital in town. If you can afford it.
