Think I was the first public citizen on the SF side of the Golden Gate Bridges 50th Birthday. Parked at South Vista lot. Not 1 cop in sight...and zero cars on the bridge, Hwy101 and Hwy 1.

No Mayor Feinstein and "200-300 guests" mentioned in the media.

Within a hour,  1000s, 10s of 1000s, 100s of 1000s started to amass on the roadway.
What a Day!

And do not believe the general prevaricators,  as the Golden Gate Bridge did sag Tremendously that day!

Some estimate there were 800,000 on the bridge that day,  the population of Frisco!

2017 SF "tourist season" annual warning to all Tourist and first-timers about Neighborhoods and Streets to avoid in SF due to High Crime and lack of Adequate Policing!!

First,  N-bound on 101, DO NOT TAKE the 3rd street exit N. thru the "3rd street hood. "!!
Very poor and very high crime,  day or night!!

Also "South San Francisco" is not part of SF and is in a separate County.

There are many many affordable motels on the original main Peninsula boulevard "El Camino Real " (before Hwy 101 and 280 were built and commute traffic maxed out)and good public mass transit by bus,  Caltrain(my choice), or lousy BART.  or cheap UBER/safer LYFT taxi service.
If SF is too expensive.
Or too noisy and dirty for you.

Neighborhoods to AVOID,  day/nite:
1-S.E. Quarter of SF,  including 3rd St., Bayview and Hunter's Point. Basically Everything East of 101, and South of Mariposa .

2-the Tenderloin,  whether Frisco puts it on the map or not,  both sides of Market,  West of Union Square to Van Ness.

3-the Western Addition,  new and old "projects", South of Geary across from safer Japantown, West from Gough st. to Alamo Square almost.

4-Shooter's Alley and Bernal Heights,  North of Cow Palace and Geneva to the Mission District,  West of highway 101.

5-the Burger King on Market X Grove.  3 people were recently shot on the sidewalk.  Never enough walking cops!

Google Maps should be brave enough to warn tourists and the general public visiting on business of historic, locally well know Bad Dangerous Unsafe likely to see or hear a shooting,  neighborhoods.

Like Richmond city and East Palo Alto city.
Eastside,  San Jose.
Lower / West Oakland.
But they don't.

Ever since the 1980s, I have been fed up with the rude selfish impatient dangerous drivers waiting on SF streets to get on the Bay Bridge! Something must be done!

Maybe mandatory spacing like the English.
But since originally there were 2 sets of commuter train tracks on the Bay Bridge,  i propose using 3 of the reverse commute lanes, leaving 2. Not enough?

Maybe making both levels commute direction only,  as the Bay Bridge is the most heavily used bridge in the Bay Area.
This would be relatively cheap and easy to do,  versus building a second bridge just South.
So from 6-9am and 3-6pm both levels would be one way. M-F.

BART is not helping enough.
Neither is Caltrain south to Silicon Valley and Gilroy.

Many more passenger ferries is another idea.  Maybe fast air ride craft,  like on the English Channel.

But SOMETHING must be done!
Too many streets in SF are gridlocked by Bay Bridge commute approaches!

Most Men do not wash their hands after using a Restaurant or Bar's restroom!

This is not just a "Personal Hygiene " problem!

This is a "Public Health " Problem!!

What is the solution?
Restroom servants?

I'm  going with their Dates first.
So girl,  woman,  grand dame,  how upset are you that your Date,  boyfriend,  or Husband did not wash his hands with soap and water, out of pure laziness?
Curious minds want to know.

Fellow Costco Shoppers: I like item#88744, Kirkland cooked meatballs, Italian style beef. So, where's the Lamb?

Thank you,  Costco Buyers.
You did Good.
Like "Tommy Bahama" thick black dress socks.
Thank you again.
I bought scores.

KQED certainly has the Cash cache in the Frisco Bay Area of 8 million. But has it earned the pre-eminent $ position? How "public" has the massive fund raising hot air machine been at self promotion and public benefit?

First,  the little people love being on TV asking Others to give up their hard earned, very costly area, little or lots money.
Save the Bay needs to do the same.

There is no way KQED can compare to the super show productive WGBH,  etc. especially in the early years.
Why has KQED been so uncreative and unproductive historically?

And by KQED's own "History" admission,  they were very busy buying and selling studios and frequently moving in the early days. But at a profit or loss with all that pubic funding? And why so many studios? It's not well explained.

The most shameful event was the cancelling of "newsroom", an innovative open discussion by smart experienced reporters at a round-table,  that unfortunately some slimey oil company did not Sac. payola like.  That was definitely a cancellation Not in the public interest.  Sacramento is still smeared by way too much payola and the new "newsroom" is a tepid quarter-hearted attempt at best.

Then there is the issue of public TV cannibalism where KQED buys the smaller but competing Peninsula public TV channel and certainly it has been shown not for that station's or the area's benefit.  Cannibalism, or "mergers and acquisitions" that reduce competition and disserve the public, are you For or Against?

How much do each show and series cost?
How Fat are the un-named position salaries?
What is the "public TV" balance sheet?
Curious distrusting minds want to know.
And the wonderful Bay Guardian newspaper is gone.
And I don't  know 1 California  politician I can trust to always tell the simple truth.
Special interest(real estate) poison burlingame and Capitola(?) and most cities, counties, and certainly this state.
Nobody cares,  right?

So why are so many rich and super rich leaving their Estates to a second or third rate public TV station,  the the Environment we live in needs desperately to be detoxified ,  cleaned up, and have SFBay treated as a true Asset instead of lots of cities raw sewage and industries poisons garbage trash and landfill dumping ground,  like a fool Ass would do?

OUTLOOK by Microsoft has Many Current Problems!

"Move" and email from the Inbox to a folder,,,  may take over 4 attempts!
It may not work at all.

Choose "Unthread" to separate all your emails from their single or multiple  'Reply's ,,,does Not Work At All!

Open a new Hotmail account?
Some stranger was allowed use of my new email account and Microsoft Outlook has not fixed this in Months!

Do you get lots of scrambled letters names on emails as SPAM or PISHING or WORSE?
I get Lots!
So I 'opened a case' by Outlook on it and they did stop all these Malicious Fakers posing as legitimate websites,,,  for about 2 weeks.
Now the SPAMMERS ARE BACK IN FORCE!
I probably delete 5-10 Bogus Clearly Fake and Fraudulent emails Every DAY!
Outlook's polite "Support" and "Feedback" staff politely say "sorry we can't fix that either. "

Why aren't folder email totals listed?
Can't  Outlook count!?

The Simplest Improvements are listed, from customers, but Extremely Slowly adopted!!

BEWARE of Google Local Guides sign up!! You're NOT IN CONTROL!! if you have a problem with one or two accounts by mistake, YOU have to ASK Google for help, taking WEEKS for a fix or "Cancel!!"

This is very poor service from Google.
They want our help in correcting Their maps,  but they are TOO SLOW to help US in Return!

How did "San Francisco" get its name? Only because most tour guide Don't Know, or Make-believe!

Some native Indians scattered in temporary  sites all over the peninsula tip sand dunes.
About 200 Indian tribes in the state.  Some fierce like up by Mt. Shasta and some fat and happy like Yosemite Valley Ahwahneechee, trading obsidian on East side of Sierras for decoration shells from the Coast.  Little is know because of settlers hostile "savages" attitude  and Natives lack of any immunity to European diseases like smallpox.

In 1769, some Spanish in Mexico walked and rode up the rugged coast  with a sailing oriented map,  heading for deep water harbor and military tiny outpost of Monterey, under Portola. They got lost and wandered N. of Monterey  to the tip of the Peninsula. Obviously,  this isn't  Monterey!

Their camp near 280 and Millbrae has a roadside marker.
They surveyed. Too much sand dunes for farming. Tho many sf tour guides makeup "mint farming". ;o
Lots of Grizzly Bear,  elk,  deer,  and the

The by far, Best V.A. clinic in the Entire SF BayArea? You might be surprised. My vote says,,,

San Bruno V.A. Clinic,  by National Cemetery and big sprawling SFO Airport.

Best receptionists.
Best nurses.
Best  docs, UCSF, new new new!Medical Grads, interns and Residents.
Big parking lot,  gonna have to be made bigger...
Tiny hard to find entrance,  so use pics on Google Map.
Inside tip: Dr. Richie, female doc
Only negative: dietitian who hasn't yet read, "Eat Fat,  Get Thin" or "Fast Metabolism" or other current popular health books.

So much better than sj clinic or big sprawling, "don't care" Palo Alto Hospital and such,  or even Frisco's "no exterior photos, for National Security!" Lands End NW corner hospital, and such, understaffed,  littered,  messy lazy cafeteria of mediocre food and still not enough parking!

The SPCA is so Rich from Public Donations, check out the top down salaries, that it can afford and should do an inspection and rating of every cat and dog breeder in the Nation. Don't want the SPCA on your "private property", so reported!

Enough is Enough!

There are just way too many lying cheating damaged by no handling pet mills in the USA.

When my Sis retired from the horrid LAUSD,  I gave her a $1000 to buy 2 Persian Longhair Kittens.
The female LA breeder swore they were "hand raised, in my Home".
Big fat stinking lie!
Both kittens or cats were and are so afraid of all, all people.

We Must Stop This.

WAZE stinks and GOOGLE MAP is lousy.

A few months ago I had a charter out of Frisco and picking up about 20 miles NE of Napa town.
Lake Berryessa,  Marley Cove resort.
And WAZE said to take 80E to Vacaville,  then 505N to Williams, then 128W .
Seemed like 3 sides of the box.
So took Napa town 128E on miles of narrow winding country road.
Took forever!
Still don't know,  with all those make me sick too cute icons,  which route would have been better.
And did have to take group to hell and back after the Napa Wine Tour.
Decision: Reservoir Berryessa is just too dam far and difficult to get to!

So went back to Google Map.
Frisco to S.Cruz run.
In pm commute,  Friday,  2p-8p.
G. Map said "either 280S, lots of accidents,  or 101S, lots of accidents."
So I took Hwy1, on the coast.
Not much traffic,  no accidents,  Great Scenery,  and no chps so good fast time.
No bloody Hwy 17, "thank God"!

Michael Goodwin of IMPRIMIS, Hillsdale College is so Wrong that "liberalism is baked into the journalism cake. " It is only a recent influence to Conservative, Capitalist, Pro-biz bias for decades if not centuries of pandering. Stop trying to falsify and rewrite history!

As recent was the West Coast conservative news blackout of any coverage on the West Coast of SF's Summer of Love social crisis event.

And all the positive,  "winning" bullshit conservative media coverage of the lie,  shameful,  wasteful defense spending and lives wasted of the Vietnam War.  No one in their right mind can call that conservative media coverage "liberal".

Fellow Costco shoppers: item #736 260, No Touch brand All Wheel Care, is NOT RECOMMENDED!!

Bought 2 6-pacs, and very little tire shine.

Have tried about 20 different tire dressings,  and Armorall Original is still the best.

AUTODESK was in California for a week Junket from all over the World, free luxury hotels and luxury meals on AutoDesk. But they did not tip all their drivers even $1.

That is so Cheap.

All appliances should have a picture of the INNARDS without the hiding shiny paint and metal SKIN, like cars.

Too many of us only see and thus buy the 'skin' LOOKS.

"Shooting at ups-sf", having worked there in the late 80s, before computers for delivery drivers. I am not surprised. Bad Corporate Culture of overpaid, private stock only managers constantly Yelling at union but underpaid delivery drivers, "tossed loads" instead of "rough sort" by nightshift Loaders to be sorted properly off hub property!, too thin 3 tires on slippery set Winter rain roads!, before CC climate change, and rookie coarse shirts that cut the back of your neck!

News reported it was a UPS employee shooter.

So before Any anti-gun,  IGNORANT, loud-mouth spouts off,  this shooting was partly UPS's Fault. Don't  blame a gun.

Other than the annual mandatory Smith System driver training,  UPS created and for too long ran a Very Hostile work place environment for the lowest rank,  the front line,  the semi drivers and Especially local delivery drivers!

Oh,  and not all vans had a plastic semiclear, sunlight ventilated roof so you could see easily in the package back area. Had to open back door.  And fresh air ventilation to breath?
No a/c.
Vans were never washed inside,  either the dusty back or the dusty front; Just the outside 'image' was regularly washed.

So I left and happily, Much less stress,  drove a SF beer truck.
First driver to change into 'Indian Summer' shorts after leaving the China Basin Miller warehouse! Castro boys loved it,  and thus so did my redneck boss!

Get All the Facts on oops UPS.

A Right to Privacy law, state by state, is so needed.

Maybe even a Constitutional Amendment.

The Standard parking lot space, concrete abutment is 5" high. Modern luxury cars are Lower than 5". So if the industry and buyers had Any Common Sense, at all, they would but 3" abutments!!

But life, especially  Govt,  is not practical.
It's  soon messy.

Frisco's OCC is a Farce.

But it's 311, 24-7 to report citywide public repairs is WONDERFUL!

T+L: Probably Very Wrong on 2 counts.

Sausalito's "HAMBURGER. " is so much better than Cal. listed "In & Out".

Second,  Alaska Airlines might be just OK in the Lower 48.
Like at SeaTac.
But inside Alaska it Reeks!, mostly.
And from Cal. to Hawaii,  "Ugh!", drab grey interiors and drab grey crews.
Go via Hawaiian Airlines.

MICROSOFT has lots of blame responsibility for www./Web INSECURITY !! Why ??

Not only do they keep 100s of SPAM messages on all your devices more than a day.
YES, open that Spam folder and see how much junk is kept there!!

But when you tap "details" in Hotmail-Outlook to see a Sender's FULL EMAIL ADDRESS, it is still not shown to you, the Receiver !!
Such blantant dishonesty.
What Mischief !!

And Microsoft allows jumbled letters addresses by people up to NO GOOD to send you FRAUDULENT Fake emails from Reputable websites like Costco and the Sierra Club !!
This puts all of us AT RISK of INFECTED COMPUTERS that take 40hrs and $1000s to software dissemble, clean, and reload safely !!

What a NUISANCE !!

I am so disappointed with the Greed, Ignorance, Defensiveness, and Same Old Same of Western Medicine.

Let's start with ,,,
Your medical records are the property of every doctor in every State you ever visited.
The efficacy and obvious Right of every paying or free care patient to their medical records is still strongly fought.

Next, even the worst doctors or dentists are equally protected.
The AMA and ADA refuse to change in spite of overwhelming evidence of the benefit to change.
I have had 2 Kaiser orthopedic surgeons lie, "second opinion", that I only tore my quad, instead of a complete separation, to save the liable medical insurance cost of a simple operation. I had a famous SJ podiatrist allow his medical school graduate-only son to illegally operate while I was under general anesthesia and botch one of the 2 bunion simple surgeries.
I had a zealot Dr. Emmott sign "vasectomy" only orders for bilateral hernia repair and Mills Peninsula pushed the clearly wrong Surgical Orders ,"oh, found the correct one!", as a lie 3 times. I could go on and on.
Like Dr. Peel in Willow Glen who drilled holes in good teeth to make cavities, back in the 1950s and 60s.

There are way too many risky expensive unnecessary cesarian surgeries because doctors don't like waiting.
And they don't have the basic midwife skill to turn babies in the womb.
So my Mom's only Sis had a pinched umbilical cord in delivery and was an EMR expensive "child" her entire long almost 80 years life.

Cancer was ,according to Ken Burn's documentary, treated with Chemo therapy because of a WW2 germ warfare wacko, not good science and good medical research. Radiation therapy was also a black bag grab because of an aggressive uranium salesman. And sawbones scary radical surgery has still not gone away.
Even with PRP.
The public has given way too much money to breast cancer research where it was quickly wasted and spent on lavish lifestyles of MDs.

Why is medical research so,,, slow,,, to progress?
I know a Einstein-like genius PhD. who suddenly quit all medicine when she found out her brilliant treatment research would not be used, ever, for the deadliest microbes.

Why is a computer knowledge base so anathema when I have had docs pull out a huge PDR book right in front of me.
"I have no idea what this is."

Why are referrals to Specialists so hard to get !?
To save money when expensive paid insurers should be getting full best medical care?
My 99 year old ,great genes and healthy, Mom can't even see a Kaiser dermatologist for 2 dark brown toenail fungus problems, for years. Tight gatekeeper PCPs reduce medical insurance cost and increase profits.

Why can the simplest treatments be so quickly forgotten and ignored.
Got poison oak rash my whole life. Once so bad the GP doc insisted ,when I came out of 2 week bedroom hiding, on a 3 day effective cortisone shot.
In the 60s Tecnu soap was invented by the military to wash off WW3 nuclear fallout and it works great washing off all 3 poison oak, ivy ,and sumac sticky oil in the first 24hrs; but many docs and even famous Dermatologists don't know about it. Can you see all those children unnecessarily suffering?

What will it take for Western Medicine to grow up and get science-real?

GOOGLE MAP's "recent search" list is AWFUL.

Doesn't list the last 5 Places I have BEEN ,,, or the last 5 Places I have LOOKED AT.

Just lousy.
