Market Street is not timed,,,neither is Columbus Street at a slow safe speed. Wait,,,Didn't we , the 90%, just assume for 10 years a huge tax debt load from the super-rich and comfortable?  And they regard us with such,,,distaste, disregard, harshness, and lack of humanity,,,?!

And the repudiated "no child left behind" of Pres. Bush jr. ,,,is still ,,,THE RULE,,, 'IN EFFECT' !?


The NPS still acts the same silly, stupid, anti-visitor, pro-Republican Party way,,,in taking $300 from a 'mass transit' bus/charter bus at the gates of Yosemite, even with just one passenger is on it.  Or letting the major business, the 'park concessionaire', set the park policy of the level of guest services ,,,instead of the National Park Service,,,such as only one 2-hour Valley Tour tram per hour, instead of the two vehicles that the public ask for.


Or Muir Woods National Monument, where a meadow is used for overflow parking,besides the two small paved lots and all the unimproved road edges for half a mile,,,but a large parking garage there and eco-bus service has been needed for ,,,DECADES!!


Zero progress is being made on cleaning up San Francisco Bay and Delta. More abandoned vessels are polluting the waters,like the recent salvage-long abandoned tug episode,,,and the stupid continuation of the moth ball fleet.  Will we ever have a Bay Area politician who will give major priority to the health of the environment of the SF Bay Area!?  All we ever get is pre-election 'lip service' empty promises. If that.


The federal government seems ,,,ungovernable,,, even by such an idealistic new President as Obama and his Democrat Party new majority.  We are still spending American lives and  $Billions we don't have on the unpopular and ineffective Middle East Wars,,,

I worked for PG&E in the 1960s on a gas crew,,,and was shocked that the Governors, the State Legislature, the CPUC, and the PG&E EXECUTIVES had a double standard on how gas mains and gas service lines were treated and buried

In rich neighborhoods, the ditch was leveled,,,by my shovel, sanded by buckets from a backhoe,leveled by my shovel, then gas main in front of you house was slowly and carefully lowered into the ditch by a strap on the backhoe arm, my job was to check for nicks then in the bottom on the ditch scary alone and patch them, then the gas pipe was sand buried again, leveled by my shovel,,, and separated from other electrical or pipe services in the ditch, and then slowly and carefully covered with dirt, not big heavy damaging dirt clods and rocks, from the surround, run over  again and again by a backhoe.  So much care to insure the maximum safe life of the pipe,,,and the homes on that street.


In what seemed poorer neighborhoods, the gas main down your street in front of your house,,, was  just dropped in the ditch!,,,on the rocks and dirt clods!,,,no sand(how abundant!! and dirt cheap!! is sand in the state of California!? Stupid),,,and no guy down in the ditch checking for gas pipeline, tar or plastic, insulation nicks,,,just dump more rocks and hard clay dirt clods on that gas main or service line to your house !!  And expect leaks,,,SOON!!


Now that the gas main explosion has happened in San Bruno, we and the Governator and the State Legislature need to step up and make it the LAW that there is ONE STANDARD, THE HIGH SAFE STANDARD, for California. Period.

It must really stink to be filthy rich and a big part of Silicon Valley: B.A.R.T. only goes 70mph,,,Not one major boulevard has its stop light signal timed by a computer ,in the birthplace of computers, tho SF has at least 3...and there are all these 'buried' SuperFund Toxic Sites that the super-rich computer makers that did them say they are not fully responsible for cleaning up, let the Feds do it

Diamond Lanes are a failure, yet the politicians and power brokers still insist on taking away 25% or 33% of the full public access to our super expensive and poorly maintained freeways.  The Silicon Valley execs ride in chauffeured cars/limos, so always ride in the diamond lanes.  We allow them to act like spoiled children, 'shitting in their diapers' ,,,and on the  public carpet,,,and then we are surprised they show little or no public responsibility!! Even failing to vote in over 20 years !!


Anything over $10M/yr in compensation is STEALING FROM SHAREHOLDERS !! How embarrassing to TAKE such bloated salaries and have so little personal, moral, political and social responsibility to show for it.  What do you do with all that money,,,and potential,,,?  All for you and your spoiled children, and little for the community you LIVE IN!!


Why does Silicon Valley have so many expensive SCHOOL DISTRICTS,,,with massively OVERPAID SUPERINTENDENTS,,, ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENTS,,, PRINCIPALS,,, and ASSISTANT PRINCIPALS,,,?!!  This is a huge HUGE waste of public money and so inefficient !!  THE ENTIRE SILICON VALLEY SHOULD BE CONSOLIDATED INTO ONE LARGE AND VERY EFFICIENT,LESS THAN 10% MGMT. This is what greedy ambitious business people do. Cut corners any way they can to get rich as fast as they can.  Including stealing wages, yep, regular hourly wages from some of their gullible 50 employees. Unless properly regulated, this is what businesses do.


And not paying taxes ,if they can get away with it; Let some else 'have to' pay a fair share of taxes to derive the American benefits. There is no way this guy can threaten to 'leave for a 3rd world country',,,his biz is in S.F. !! Dual citizenship aside,,,for now.(And besides, California is quickly becoming that polluted, unregulated, unfair, unkept, littered ugly, and infrastructure crumbling, spoiled rich vs chattel /slave working masses of poor in a state of a 'third world country' condition,,,)


So what has this ambitious greedy guy done with the Jr. Bush Tax Cuts for the Rich ? Really.  Actually.  He has bought cheaper second and third rate buses, because they cost less but breakdown more and perform less well/reliably.


 New Setras and new MCIs. The Setras have a too small designed air compressor system to operate the main door and the air brakes, duhhh!!, and the new MCIs have a lousy hard ride compared to the 1980s old MCIs ,,,and the new MCI-'J's often stall on hills and possibly railroad tracks !! So scary.  Not Prevosts or Van Hools or reliable quality busses.


And more new flashy cars to drive.  And instead of a east coast vacation condo, a much larger and more expensive vacation house on the east coast. Oh, and huge contributions to politicians.  I don't see a lot of 'economic stimulus' there.


Mr. Moore , aren't you just making excuses for your rich friends and super profitable corporations to be more selfish and greedy-sick ?  Besides them not paying their fair share in taxes, progressive taxes, as these successful and profitable and super-rich can certainly afford to pay more, tho they don't want to.  


It is like milking dairy cows; you have to do it regularly and often and the 'cows' keep on producing and chewing their cud.
