December 2013, Returning Veterans open your eyes, for an ugly cruel surprise!! Look at the VA hospital website and see how you get no, zero informed choice in choosing a MD. No mugshot, no Med School listing and % rank in class, no # of formal complaints filed against, not even the number of years in practice!!
Why doesn't the national media report on this? They wouldn't be caught dead in such horrid VA hospitals with $M salaries and just a jawbone job!

How long will women wait,,, for men to give them true Equality?
I get lots of emails asking me to support equal pay,,, versus the embarrassingly low 77c/dollar for men. And to stop the rampant rape of women serving in our own military. And for equal access to the corporate glass ceiling executive jobs. And for more women, at least half like the population, in Congress.
But do women, most women really want true Equality under the law and socially? Most women i see seem to have other more trivial priorities,,,
And if most women are not going to demand it, don't expect the men in power to "be nice" and just give them true Equality anyway! Women are going to have to rise up, like Prohibition, and Fight for it.
Most women i see have very little fight in them,,, More of take the easy road, look for a sugar-daddy/millionaire be irrational and overly optimistic and Pollyannish,,, Scam guys for drinks or dinner and a movie,,, One night stand a guy just because of his looks,,, Shallow venal stuff, like men.

This consumer's review of last years model front door clothes dryer, Frigidaire Gallery commercial heavy duty,drum light: TAKES WAY TOO LONG TO DRY CLOTHES ON HOTTEST SETTING !!
Wish there were standards that apply to machines labeled 'commercial heavy duty' as the one we had for years and years before this one was very efficient at drying cotton clothes quickly.

I wanted a door window on this top loader but the wife won out. I should have held firm as it is hard to wait so long and expect clean clothes with so little water usage.
There is no timer of cycle selected and time remaining, as i wish there was.
The biggest plus is the lack of a central rotor. So big comforters fit.
We learned the hard way you can not use powdered clothes detergent, just liquid or the new pods of liquid. Too many of the clothes had undissolved powdered soap on them after a full cycle. I think this machine is too stingy on water , except on 'bulky loads', which i use most often if not 'quick loads'.

Why now is the time to quit both 'two party system' Republican Party and Democrat Party. Here are at least 20 good reasons:
1-The Democrat Party, like the Republican Party, has not stopped TORTURE at Guantanamo and elsewhere. Easy fix right,as it was one of our virtues never to engage in torture.
2-The Democrat Party, like the Republican Party, has not stopped RAPE by the thousands annually in our military, here in the USA , and overseas. All the CIC/POTUS has to do as 'Commander in Chief' is make one written order, and mean it. Easy.
3-The Democrat Party, like the Republican Party, does not mind the very toxic and poorly regulated last several years of TOXIC DRILLING to our DRINKING GROUND WATER SUPPLIES, like the Ogallala Aquifer, of FRACKING. Easy, just ban it until our scientists think of a clean way to do it. Or not do it at all. Same for class of poisons killing all the bees, and rubber stamp farm poisons. We want stronger Clean Water and Clean Air acts.
4-The Democrat Party, like the Republican Party, has not ended, in President Obama's second 4 year term, the exhorbitant BUSH TAX CUTS for the super-rich. Easy, just bring back the mid-1900s graduated taxes, with a huge luxury tax,,, and a gigantic ban on offshore accounts.
5-Here in California, the Democrat Party, like the Republican Party, has allowed our PUBLIC SCHOOLS to fall from among the best/top 3 in the USA to the bottom 3, and that is with a Democrat Governor and a Democrat super-majority in both state houses. Easy, fix it by taking all their pensions away,,, and if that does not work, flush both state houses. Get written pledges of new candidates they will fix it in 5yrs, or else.
6-The Democrat Party, like the Republican Party, is too soft on big campaign contributors like the corrupt and dangerous BANKS with their dangerous derivatives, c.d.swaps, massive fraud of nationwide home foreclosures.
7-The Democrat Party, like the Republican Party, is talking about cutting Social Security, now that Bill Moyer's tv show has leaked President Obama's secret wish to savage the Great Depression program.
8-The Democrat Party, like the Republican Party, has not stopped the Pebble Mine cold in Alaska to save the massive Alaskan salmon fishery in Bristol Bay and the Bering Sea. Reckless and irresponsible.
9-The Democrat Party, like the Republican Party, has done little to control HEALTH CARE costs, with just delays ,,, and talk about a 'public option' and 'single payer'. We need a faster fix.

The current Democrat 'super majority' rule of California is Failing, us citizens, and their platform. We dramatically dumped Governor Grey Davis for his incompetence and lie about deregulation being a good thing. Now We Californians must again lead the Nation, dump the Democrat Party, and try the Green Party.
How many terms ,,, how many decades!,,, of no significant progress with the Democrats do we have to wait for words forgotten and promises forgotten and leaders coasting for us in California to again lead the USA and do something bold ,like fire a sitting failure of a Governor? It is 2013. Are you waiting for 2020? 2025? 2050?
We can not wait as long as our elected leaders of President Obama, Senators Feinstein and Boxer, and Representative Pelosi that should be doing leading and fixing more of our collective problems.
This next election, we must take more responsibility, since our elected officials, Republicans and Democrats, refuse to act responsibly. We did it with Prop. 13 to slow property tax increases on primary residences. We did it to loudly fire Governor Grey Davis. We Californians need to step up , be responsible, lead the Nation again, and stop the Congress malaise and obstruction.
Please consider registering and voting Green Party, a more responsible hopeful option than this disappointing broken 2 party system.

Ca, CHP will pull over CDL charter and tour bus drivers and give them $700 fines for just one minor DOT logbook graph mistake, accidental or intentional. But bring evidence of a signifigant SF company forcing charter bus drivers to maintain 2 DOT logs, one true with over 10hrs/day driving and over 14hrs/day working,,, and one false,,, and the Ca. I was recently physically hostile sexually attacked by a V.A. doctor MD in California. Filed a 'formal complaint'. Got a call from Admin. And the MD is still working at this V.A. hospital. Shocking.

Don't wait to buy a spare battery on the web for $11 with free shipping, Amazon. I bought 3.
And a silicone rubber drop ins. case for $2.50.
My first SGS3 fried itself on the charger, in 3 months, and T-Mobile was very quick to grant free exchange. "How did it happen?" I plugged it in , and the power insert melted enough to be loose,,, and the t-mobile charger fried too. "No problem." ;)
I had the local store transfer all the data, but for the 5 different screen collections, which i did with both phones plugged in. The Capitola store at the Mall on 41st was a big help. Tho i lost my song files somewhere,,, sim card,,, memory card,,, t-mobile app for old lousy interface HTC My Touch.
T-Mobile stores don't sell the good charging cord with the obvious top plug symbol. The new ones have a wider plug with less wiggle potential. I have not been able to find a good cheap silicon rubber drop case either at any T-Mobile store.
Got on Value plan instead of usual to save $20/month.

What the USA can not afford is waiting for the lie that the super rich millionaires and super profitable large corporations paying little or lower rate or no taxes are making more jobs!
What Congress has know for decades since the 1970s is that we can no longer expect a healthy economy if the rich corporations are allowed to steal and lie about it while taking most of our pensions and retirement plans, ala United, IBM, GE, etc. It is well documented in the book i am now reading by Ellen E. Schultz "Retirement Heist". How in any conscience could any Congress-person since the 1970s silently allow such massive fraud and theft in the $Bs or $Ts now , just to make the super-rich corporations and executive individuals richer while hurting the vast majority of the American taxpayers and voters and legal citizens?! Shame, for shame !!
The top 2% or 10% or even 20% being lower percentage taxed does not make a stable robust competitive safe economy.
But that is the unreasonable shouted minority-party arch conservative Republican platform now. The losers. Sore losers, ready to crash the economy and the Nation.
What we can not afford is the 50-80$B in annual tax breaks to the oil industry, that has no pump price competition and rather owns oil producing states like Alaska and California, and probably soon the Dakotas.
What we can not and have not for decades been able to afford is a too complex and too unfair national tax code. When will Congress ever get the strong spine again to tackle such tough national problems?
What we can no longer afford is $Ms in farm subsidies to already Millionaire farmers!
What we can no longer afford is a runaway and secretly extravagant military budget.
What we can no longer afford are these huge over-charging for medical care policies, resulting in very excessive profits for the medical insurance and pharmaceutical industries.
What we can no longer afford is double dipping in retirement by fraudulent civil servants being allowed to claim disability pension in addition to regular pension, when they hardly worked an good value efficient day in their entire public employee careers and are not truly on the job injured, but just old.
What we can not afford is all the OMB waste well documented every year.
What we can not afford as a Nation is the obstructionist and terrorist conservatives as a minority bent on destroying the USA if they can't be voted into power and majority ever again.
What we can not afford is to believe their half blind, right eye only view of things American. Those weak lies won't fly anymore. Amen!

Ca. EDD/Employment Development Department is so UNJUST that they let you appeal RULINGS before an Administrative Law Judge, but if you win, EDD just REVERSES THE JUDGES DECISION IN THEIR FAVOR !! What is the point of this 'judge" charade ?!
Do not move to California.
And if you are already here, under a Democrat Governor and Democrat 'super majority' in the State Legislature, beware of this unjust mean sloppy careless illogical arrogant unjust Agency !!
The recent State audit says they don't answer their phones. Also their website is not reliable if you want to open a unemployment file.
And the office at 2450 South Bascom, San Jose, Ca. that says "EDD Office" on the front door, really is not a EDD staffed office , but a 'work force' bunch of bad advice ("you don't have to file right away, you can file up to 18 months.") incompetents. Beware !! Such public fraud and deception.
The EDD will cut you benefits during a year of this 'great recession' with still very high true unemployment "because you have not worked enough this year" !! Hell, you are unemployed and looking for work, what do they expect that everyone can find a job in California during this 'great recession' ?!
So cruel by this once great , once proud State.
Since many people, maybe 20-30%, don't even apply for Unemployment Insurance , after waiting the first dead week, why is this agency so tight and slow, sometimes 2 months or more late with checks that are maximum of $425/wk, risking people being kicked out of apartments and onto the street?! Isn't it bad enough that so many of us are out of work because of Wall Street 'to big to fail' bankers, fraudulent but unprosecuted mortgage lenders, and lying unprosecuted rating companies ?!
When will California start to improve after the recent low of the terrible Enron deregulation disaster that bankrupted the state and finally exposed the massive corruption and hypocrisy of State government in Sacramento, where pledging public office for the public good has been long forgotten?
