Science says "fog" can be that low stratus cloud on the ground or the ocean, or it can also be higher and even Much higher.
If that isn't silly of Science to be so unclear describing what Scientists are talking about, I don't Know What is!
So we Commoners have to help the befuddled and confused Scientists. Yes , let's make this Perfectly Clear, shall we?
OK, so from now on, fog is On the surface of land or water, ocean or Bay.
It can be thin fog or thick fog of a 100ft.
That other stuff you can see under, let's call that "Overcast".
