The City-County of SF should make wage theft a Felony, mandatory month jail time, and 50 Yr statute of limitations. And hire an Ombudsman, since the Mayor Lee and Board of Supes are busy. Super Sightseeing stealing over $10k in wages yearly from each employee for over 5 years was bad enough, eh?,certified by a Federal judge. Why oh why is wage theft so obvious and so common and so tolerated in SF, still? It is Not "ok"! $1M fine to start. Then $10M. Then $100M, distributed to all employees equally.
Just outlaw Blacklisting.
$10k Felony fine per employer that participates, then $100k for second violation. $1M for third violation and employee gets half of fines, tax free. The State of California should too but Sacramento is such a cesspool. You can still "get rich quick" but honestly, fairly and legally.
Sexual harassment at work should be a quick and easy Felony. Or at colleges. Mandatory month jail time.
If most of our politicians weren't such snails and paid off versus principled.
Cops on the take. Make. Murder. Skate...
That will be tough to fix!
But Tourism is an easy primary factory, if SF cares about its image and ethics.
Hard work Californians don't deserve to be constantly robbed, biweekly!
