Fellow American comsumers !,
Aren't you tired of squinting at you atm bank receipts,,,and your cash register receipts,,,and the newspaper,,,and the magazine,,,EVERYWHERE !!, and wasting time and effort to see the difference between THE SAME OUTLINE of 3s and 6s and 8s and 9s ??!! This style of font numbers is not so offensive, but most ,especially associated with computers, are !!
So lets start a nationwide demand to our legislators and businesses that we want more legible/readable number fonts/styles used in most public commerce. I am not talking art: it can be as obscure as they want.
I noticed SAVE-ON STORES used a hard to read style of numbers, so i wrote a complaint -suggestion form. Their employee, Donna F. , of Idaho said that it was impossible to change the style of numbers they use. I talked to my bank, BANK OF THE WEST, and the Burlingame, California manager said probably nothiing could be done to make their chosen style of numbers on their atms and receipts more readable. Do not give up ! If we all ask , maybe something will be done for the benefit of all of U.S. !!
