The next election is 3November 2015, and today,6November 2015, We in San Mateo County do not have any election material by mail, like Sample Ballot and Voters Guide !! It is less than 30 days !!

There should be a law about timely mailing of election material "at least a month to 2 months prior to an election".

So little regard for the informed voter!!

Look back at all the recent drive-by shootings of tourists just West of Union Square the last few years! And at "crooked" Lombard Street in rich and presumed safer Russian Hill neighborhood!
Residents and visitors should be much safer, so maybe, eventually,finally,  sfpd and sf sheriff will be drastically overhauled and improved.

Since derailments seem to be more common in the usa, maybe scout cars a mile ahead would be prudent for Amtrak and all toxic carriers

We must prevent future derailment of passenger and toxic trains!!

El Faro container ship intentional sinking by steaming from Florida DIRECTLY into a Bahama TORNADO needs to be investigated by Congress and STOPPED by U.S.COAST GUARD , clearly corp murder!, in the future !

We must stop Corporations like PG&E and Florida container ship owners from acting like they can and do get away with directly responsible negligent MURDER.

For decades, the cheapest gasoline in SF has been the ARCO at Fell x Divisadero, $2.65/gallon in Oct.2015

Suggest we all only buy gas there.
Maybe then the other gas stations will get busy!

Women in American Politics. How disappointed We all are.

I really , after decades of public office, thought electing women instead of the usual sell-out suit guy, might do more good. Maybe all elected officials will have to be women to have a signifigant, besides suffrage, effect. I campaign worked for women political candidates in the 1960s and 1970s.  My guess is they were all power-vacuum packed away in little offices in state capitols.

Otherwise we would have equal pay.

And zero tolerance for rape in our own military, universities, and rich company offices.

Food and water and air would be safer. Rivers would be cleaner. And we wouldn't be poisoning our ground water to get fracked oil the hard way.

The container ship EL FARO would not have been allowed by the U.S.Coast Guard to leave Jacksonville, Fl. and steam straight into a Bahama Hurricane, killing dozens and polluting the ocean with such an obvious negligent act and insurance scam.

I do not see womanly or motherly qualities, like honesty and frequent communication and caring with our current crop of women politicians.
So why enshrine another disappointing woman , as big a hypocrite as the average male politician?I expected women to be more honest and more caring. Ha!

The USA is in deep trouble with criminal greedy selfish American bankers paying near zero Interest for 7 long years !

Last year,2014, I had "saved" $25,000 in my 60s , renting, with a 15 yr old car.

And the bank paid me .54c for my saving and checking account.

$25,000 dollars.

And "interest" paid was only .54c.
