BICYCLE THEFT and too many PUBLIC SIDEWALK BICYCLE CHOP SHOPS they tend to ignore,  along with car theft.

Also the lawless, littering, public health risky HOMELESS PROBLEM is WORSE,  in my opinion.

The "SF FORTY NINERS" football team left for the South Bay and a new big, safe neighborhood Stadium in Santa Clara.  Huge loss for SF.

STANDING DEAD TREES are way too many,  and poorly pruned trees are common. City is hiring 50 new aborist they say.

POTHOLES which SF usually ignores.
Part of Haight Street was expertly repaved,  but Masonic was a rough mess for far too long.
Look at Harriet Street between Brannan and Bryant near the big Jail.
Also Toland street between Evans and Oakdale.

SIDEWALK POWER WASHING is on the general, address by address, rise. But some neighborhoods around Union Square are resistant to daily or weekly cleaning. Shameful filthy public sidewalks!

LITTER on city streets and sidewalks is still a HUGE PROBLEM.

PARKING METER RATES just went Way Up,  variable depending on the time of day!
The tourists won't like that!

And decades of lack of sufficient WHITE CURBS for passenger loading and YELLOW CURBS for deliveries are a Huge headache for work flow in the city.

At least there a several still TIMED TRAFFIC LIGHT STREETS like Franklin and Gough,  Fell and Oak, Pine and Bush,  the beach Great Highway, and hopefully again 19th Avenue and Van Ness-Lombard!

Lots of ONE WAY STREETS help but signs are before the intersection! or too high to see,  so 1st timers beware of driving in SF!  Every year I see semi trailers teeter tottering on one of the flat intersections to STEEP downhill PITCH TRANSITIONS!

PUBLIC PARKING GARAGES and RATES SIGNS need to be Much Larger,  like Sutter -Stockton garage.

News Outlets using ACRES instead of SQ. MILES for large areas is as silly as using SQUARE FEET! "269,000 acres!" Non-Sense!!

I was 13 days on the Colorado River and neither NPS nor the not-cheap Outfitter warned me, or carried a quart bottle of Tecnu soap liquid from Amazon!

12 days of constant itching, painful arm and leg rashes,  soaks in the 36f river,  lousy nights sleep in a hot Summer small nylon tent to keep the rattlesnakes away,  and 120f IN THE SHADE scorching days,,, 13 !! Never Ever again in the Summer. Period.

Suggest You raft in Spring or Autumn INSTEAD.
And bring or buy Tecnu concentrated liquid soap as a regular washing soap additive,  especially in coastal CALIFORNIA and the Sierra FOOTHILLS to about 6000ft elevation!

Think I've discovered a Revenge subculture in the VA/Veteran Administration after complaining a few times, so need a real Investigate Reporter do go further.

First visit to a VA clinic as a VietNam veteran, I was sexually assaulted by the MD.  Filed written formal complaint  and nothing was done.

As a veteran I complained about how hard it was to log-in to the VA website,  myhealthevet.com.
Guess lots of Veterans did as the website was remodeled.  But my password is no longer accepted so I can't use it.

I've had a credit for months the VA will not apply to my monthly bills.  I've called many times to PEP/patient experience program, very polite but no success. The VA just admitted failing to mail the credit check even tho I repeatedly asked it be applied as a credit to my VA Billings.

I asked Senator John's help,  the famous Vietnam prisoner veteran.  No response.

One of my test results came back probably tampered with.

Waited over 3hrs in ENT clinic in SF.

Had my ear wax painlessly picked out one month and very noisy, painfully, suctioned out the next.  Never again.

Colonoscopy is scheduled by my MD but SF Medical Center stubbornly insists on using a gallon of painful stomach cramps, salt water prep instead of "go lightly" prep used by most better MDs. 

What can 1 veteran do?
