Regularly withholds my hourly employee's pay, up to $10,000/year, like some Iranian led SF tour-charter bus company for over 5 yrs.
And mostly got away with it. "Everybody does it, so this company would be foolish not to do it too,"I was told by a famous Swiss on hiring.

Delays my hourly pay by biweekly paycheck for 8 days, and then 19 days after that. Or gets away with classifying me as an "independent contractor" when 10 years ago all similar job workers at airport shuttle van companies were hourly wage employees. Or any company that expects me to buy certain customers lunch and sleep with their secretaries and senior old office female managers, as a no base, tiny commission white collar suit. Or starts a ride company with shorted paychecks, black on white racism, sexual harassment, and somehow no driver random drug testing. Or any very sick bipolar boss!

Dumps bus toilet sewage across the employee parking lot for months into a storm drain that goes to the Bay. And gets away with it because they are rich rich Greeks that the Mayor and County Public Health won't touch, out of just wealth worship and fear.

A CEO who is weak or inadequate at leading his or her company. Most review companies only want customer's not employee's opinions. When are we going to really see how sick or ailing some companies are, for possible employees and stock buyers and from employees with a protected voice; Do you really think the package shooting was not bad company culture but just one sick employee?

Companies that don't pay any federal taxes like Amazon and Google.
Companies that mine our personal data to sell to any inc. Companies without principles, morals, or ethics.
Companies that sell bad toxic unhealthy products just for profit. Companies that pollute or make unrecyclable plastic and asbestos products, faulty hernia mesh, faulty drugs, faulty metal to metal hip joints still. Or oil inc.
Companies that pay off Congress to prevent progress. Or work for any "campaign contribution" compromised elected official.

Put That in your 21st Century job search engine!

So you go to VA Audiology and a nice young tech picks it out in 10 minutes, no pain no fuss. You thank him, and drive 30+ minutes home.

The next month you go to the VA again for your appointment, and you are sent to the E.N.T.(ear nose throat) Clinic and told to "have a seat, you're on time, just wait."(Called "hurry up and wait" in the military.)
After awhile,,, they call your name and a Nurse of some sort walks you into a tiny room with an Ear Wax Vacuum Machine, about 3ft square. She turns it on and sticks it in your ear, VERY NOISY and PAINFUL !! Can't I do the Audiology tech and ear pick again, pleeease?
"No, this is all, for the rest of your life, month after month, 30minutes of (Torture) this."
No thanks, I won't be back!

I get mailers all the time about "Free hearing (aid ear) test" and I have done it convinced I didn't want to go thru many expense foreign hearing aids, gunked with ear wax, like my dear Dad.
And they always, always pick the ear wax out first, never an ear wax vacuum loud painful machine.

So I asked around.
What do you do for ear wax?
Dad goes to the $ hearing aid store monthly to get his hearing aid unclogged and his very hairy ears picked of ear wax.
Mom goes to Kaiser monthly and uses their nurse and ear wax vacuum machine, "For many years, because my Doctor told me to!"
Sis uses ear drops.

Called the local elected politicans.
Congress isn't going to tell Medicine how to do "their business."

It's Amazing to me that some USA Mother's do Not want to be their Child's "confidante"! It's like Not reporting a neighbor's Child Abuse. Shocking!, but it happens.

I was sitting at the bar local sushi restaurant next to what family of about 5. The young teenage boy sitting next to me and I said "hello" and chatted.

I offered to show him how to use chopsticks.
We ordered different sushi so we talked about that.

Then I told him what I thought was important at his age, that he pick a motto, like my "be prepared" from Boy Scouts or "honesty and kindness" or "stronger smarter kinder" like Sesame Street. Two of my high school friends became multi-millionaires with the motto "be prepared". Also good manners and good penmanship!

I told him I really hated as a teenager constantly being asked by relatives and strangers "what are you going to be when you grow up?" Constantly.
I told him that I thought I wanted to work as a scuba diver for Jacques Cousteau or maybe a park ranger in Yosemite but that I really didn't know until after 4 years of college.
I told him I had made a lot of money and had a lot of fun being a tour bus driver in California and also a limo driver to the super rich and movie stars so it worked out okay eventually.

The other thing I tried to help him with was bullying which was a huge problem back in the 50s and 60s. My dad said to just live with it.
So I told him my mother was my confidante and I could talk to her about anything from mean kids at school to girls to homework to feeling awkward socially and not being able to dance.

At the end of the meal I guess he told his mom all this and she was offended that a stranger would be so honest and caring about her son in casual conversation.
They were regulars at this sushi restaurant, but they have not come back.

So I apologize to the mother, for being honest and caring.
They say "it takes a community".
I guess I am extremely lucky to have had such a wonderful Mother.

You may have heard the News talk about pedestrian deaths in San Francisco and how drivers are to blame. Not true! Blame the red light walking and running pedestrians and the lack of police on the street downtown!

Everybody in town knows this.

But nobody wants to talk about it or do anything about it!, like ticketing pedestrians that walk on a red light or start walking in a crosswalk on a red hand signal. I just saw a woman at Embarcadero4 walk across the crosswalk on a yellow light, way too late, impeding right turning traffic!

Remember that tourism is by far and away the number one business of San Francisco.
And the sfpd are usually rarely seen  on sidewalks downtown.
The sfpd has been very ineffectual at stopping the recent rash of bicycle theft to public sidewalk bicycle chop shops, nor the rash of car window smashing day and night all over town!
Shootings have commonly happened on Mason Street just west of Union Square in the Tenderloin neighborhood.

What is needed is a massive increase it daytime downtown patrols by DPT and MTA, educating pedestrians at crosswalks.
And as is necessary, ticketing dangerous selfish risky pedestrian lawbreakers, even if from foreign countries or Marin.

Gavin Newsom moved from Lt.Gov. to Governor. It's been over 6months. I expected more talk and much more action.

#1, start clearing the "fuel load" all across the State and use the National Guard.
Don't wait for the end of "fire season" next Winter. Ban gum trees.

#2, Ban the diet use of Antibiotics in California animal feed, so it has at least some positive effect on human health.

#3, ban fracking. Make the oil industry clean up.

#4, promote hydrogen fuel cell cars and expensive electricity here for expensive , flammable , still experimental electric cars in a big State with 400miles from SF to LA.

#5, ban cigarette filters.

#6, outlaw non-recyclable plastic. Require the industry to collect sort and safely recycle all California plastic.

#7, privatize the DMV and Caltrans that wasted $6B on the new flawed Oakland Bay Bridge.

#8, ban Roundup that never should have been sold. Start a new strict control on toxic farm chemicals.

#9, Help Public School teachers by allowing them to move their salaries and senority anywhere in the State. Ban gold handshakes and wasteful gold

Lots of Nations and cultures are comfortable with a high level of Crime and Violence: Mexico Iran Nigeria etc

They unzipped my daypack and got my wallet out!
How!??
At the next walk stop I got out of the Driver's seat and checked my daypack.
The wallet was outside, on the shelf!!
How did they do that in front of all these passengers!?

All the cash and credit cards were still there. Phew!
So I hung my daypack on the hook on the wall behind my bus Driver's seat.
And I did not say anything.
These 2 old couples were Pros!

I just don't understand how Alaska can be voted "Best Domestic Airline" when I've had so many problems!

Dad and i and another pair or two went to Alaska to fish yearly. The flight to Seattle was ok, nothing special. Remember as a kid riding in the back of the station wagon? Like that.

But leaving Seattle on an old dirty half seats, half cargo smaller commercial jet was the beginning of the adventure!
In Anchorage we had to wait a couple hours for a flight back down to Yakutat, the famous Situk River and super Capt. Mark.
Once the gate agent woman was so rude as to tell us to "just sit!"

One time my duffel was sent way out to the Aleutian islands for 3 days;To me, no accident, just pure hostility. My raingear, dop kit, and clean clothes...no excuse!
Another time most of our checked 70# boxes of halibut, silver salmon and red sockeye salmon was checked baggage "lost" by Alaska Airlines; We finally were retail price fully reimbursed, and the fish we bought lasted us a year almost as planned, it just wasn't the fish we spent $1000s to catch and swat mosquitos almost as big as...

On one trip I expected to see Brown bears across the 20-40ft wide Situk River, so i called Alaska to ask if I could bring $35 big can of pepper spray and holster.
"Sure you can, as long as you declare it and put it in your checked bag. No problem. We do it all the time."
Just to be sure I called back twice and got the same story from Alaska reservation clerks.
At the airport I told the guy at the front check-in counter.
By the time I walked to the gate, "it was confiscated" the gate agent told me!

I caught a last minute flight to Hawaii to be with someone, and Alaska wasn't my first second or third preference.
Sure enough, the long narrow plane was a boring decor of white walls and blue seats.
And the Flight Attendants mostly hid in the back kitchen for the 5hr daytime flight.

Southwest crews are almost always in a better, more fun mood; I've only been on 1 uncleaned plane flight.
One carrier has tropical decor partitions ,,, and Navy blue seats.
JetBlue use to have leather biz seats for Everyone and happy crews.
United may have to change it's name after dragging an MD off a plane for his overbooked seat.
The old guy on the Alaska plane tail is Not that interesting.

Western Europe, like SF, depends on tourism.
If you fly to Italy or Austria, France or Sweden, do you want to meet locals or unhappy unassimilated 1000s of uncivilized bad habit possibly unprincipled or criminal Eastern Europeans?

Western European country cultures are so different and still not ready for EU no borders.

Currently there is an abandoned sailboat near Brisbane on the Peninsula between Sierra Point and Candlestick right on the shore.

Obviously, with all the govt we have from City to County to State and the Feds with all the regional agencies like Bay Area Conservation and Development Commission and the California Coastal Commission and even the military, the United States Coast Guard. And the Clean Water Act.

In the go-go develop 60s, private ownership of the land below the Bay water was allowed and raw sewage from most cities around the Bay was without sewage plants just piped into the Bay.

All our state politicians are so busy collecting Citizen United ruling approved "campaign contributions" of political funds, or bribes. And they have been very busy as insiders getting richer and richer as our democratic Republic's senators and representatives. If they were still in elementary school they would all get "D"s for "Johnny and Judy don't do most of their homework."

So I call a few local Reps offices.
"Not in My District."
"Gee, my district but don't know who to call to remove that abandoned yacht right next to highway 101. Did you try the Coast Guard?"

All the govt employees and billions spent on them and this small but significant problem for Decades of who/which agency or commission or Dept actually removes abandoned yacht is still unclear, undecided in 2019!

Called the Coast Guard twice at SFO station and GG Bridge station, that took a report.
Nothing happened.
Called Save the Bay, report or info taken.
Nothing done.
Called the Baykeepers, like the Riverkeepers.
"We don't know either."

I'm not trying to get the Feds to total change the tax corrupt code of loopholes and rifleshots and complexities or get universal health care for the last advanced nation or end these endless enemy-making foreign wars or ban cigarette filters not cigarettes or stop global warming and or get Trump un-re-elected.

Lousy substandard contractors it hires like the very soon, crumbling in the rain, repaving of major highway 101 between SJ and SF. The workers swirl the trash with those slow giant vacuum trucks for decades instead of sucking it up and taking it to the landfill. I've actually seen them dump their loads on SF highway 101 shoulder!

DMV got much worse. Surprised?
Lines out the door at Fremont of over 50 folks standing for hours in the sun. And the AC-ed employees inside still move at a snail pace. Even opening on Saturdays didn't help much. And the blatant fraud, like one peninsula DMV office charging me my registration fee, then sending me to a second window to double charge me again! As a Commercial Driver I expect to stand in line over an hour just to turn in my Annual/Biannual Driver Physical Report form! And to get a printout of my driving record for my employer, at least 2 hours standing in line.
So another "D".

KQED did a show in his last month/s and all I heard were "yeah but" constant excuses. Yes, we have had much worse Governor's, so let's be honest in our complete fair public printed documented evaluation of them, instead of "sweeping the dirt under the carpet" again and again, and again!

At least Arnold S. had polite staff large enough to quickly answer the phone politely and transfer you to an uncooperative state Dept head.

2018 SF "said" they were hiring "50 additional aborists for all the city tree pruning" and lots of dead trees. Looking at the public trees, i sure don't "see" it !!

Take 280N into the SE quarter and come elevated littered freeway down to King st at 5th.
Look on the Left at all those center divide trees that need pruning or have broken branches, just on South side of Caltrain.

It's like the simple job of sidewalk cleaning, preferably steam cleaning at night over just power washing, at this grossgrimy stage.
Downtown, Tenderloin, Soma somewhat, and Chinatown. Easy right?
Instead of "saying" and actually doing it, SF hires a PR firm for flat out lying.

I expect much more from the Mayor's and Board of Supes. You?

SF #1 biz, by far far far, is Tourism. Not banks, insurance companies or $300/hr law offices.

But there are so many SuperRich in SF who thing they are thus so Special, and like their private property house rights extend into the public street or the public park across the street as "Theirs!". With so many politicians running around begging for $$$$$, and  "campaign contributions", payola you can see plainly how the SuperRich get so Confused and Spoiled, next to Lombard Street or the Palace of Fine Arts lovely public park or Alamo Square public park. SF has a Major sidewalk Litter Problem! You may have heard or Seen!! So today i tipped $5 the RedVest Union Square Biz Assoc. guy, who obviously is Not a RichsSelfishBastard ! Suggest you tip $1 or $5 too, if you like Cleaner sidewalks and Frisco!

There is 311, polite 24-7 message service every city should have, the Public Works and Recology and City-CountyGovt are Not "same day" fast on this Chronic Problem.

All SFO private car parking lots/garages seem to have the same Problems. Theft, declined body damage, and not enough pick up minivans at either end "as advertised". What to do?

First, posting and having customers sign a "Do not leave any valuables in your car" is NOT a license to steal !!
Someone needs to start a Class Action Lawsuit Suit !!

PG&E service experience, March 2019

Our bldg had a gas leak from old meters in the garage.
So a gas crew came out and replaced 20+ gas meters and fixed the leak.
But turned off the gas all day.
They left a Notice to call for a tech to re-light all 20+ apartment's gas stoves.

BUT THEY DID NOT SAY,,, "IF PGE TURNS OFF YOUR GAS , YOU CAN ASK FOR SAME DAY SERVICE, 8am-8pm!"
So I made an Appointment,,, in a week! Very Busy.
Then a neighbor told me to call back and ask for SAME DAY SERVICE.
The Fresno Call Center scheduled it!

Another PROBLEM!!
The CS guy didn't tell the Service Tech that #1, "just gas stove re-light".
#2, "Please wear boots covers over muddy lug sole boots."
The Service Tech was on OT and was here an hour!,way too long, 7pm-8pm, working too slowly for free OT dinner at Izzy's Steakhouse!
Just to turn valve on new garage meter and re-light 1 gas stove pilot light,,,1 hour!

When PGE turns off your gas, then THEY SHOULD TELL YOU "yes, you are intitled to same day service to re-light your stove pilot light."
But PGE doesn't tell customers that!

Governor needs to quietly call out the National Guard to Snoop around the NE BayArea to catch the 185 shoots SHOOTER!

I went to Best Buy and bought "the phone of the year" they told me, a ZTE Axon7. They didn't tell me I needed a mechanic to replace the battery, with no drop-in ,battery cover!
When I did need to change the battery, I called ZTE America and was told ,"Send it to us for $79 and we will replace the battery. Otherwise the warranty is void. We do not send directions to customers on how they can change out the battery themselves."

So I found 1 sorta ok video on YouTube.
Rather complicated.
So I called Best Buy for service.

In the "wild west" ,still, of Frisco, for Years, a CEO and his GMs can order payroll to short lowly worker's hours and pay for $100-200/month,,, and short Mgrs after 8, paid overtime to Zero, month after month!
That CEO and those GMs and that Payroll Mgr should go to Felony-record JAIL, for at least a week. Yep, in 21st Century.

Costco only has a tiny amount of Lycra in its Kirkland store brand, taking out the needed polyester.
For me, Lycra doesn't last.
So the 3 pair I have of these stretch out way too much and allow skin to skin contact; They are going to the Goodwill store!

For instance, there was a biotech company in SSF in the 90s and almost all their "part time, no benes" employees Hated working there! They complained to me, their shuttle driver, constantly!  I had to quit that very depressing run on a large Corp campus after a year.

There is another very unhappy company in package delivery on the Peninsula. I use to work there, so I have old direct knowledge. You could Expect to be yelled at Every day ,if you didn't beat the computer in the office with just your brain, no list. If you did beat the office computer, they just added more packages the Next day! "Good work". I talk to the Drivers all the time, "is it still a 3way hate-fest between the drivers and near useless Union about such mundane things as bald tires in the Winter rain, and the Company?" "Yes" is always the answer. Do the night loaders still "toss" your half to 3/4 load on occasionally instead of the "rough sort"?
The answer is always "Yes", in spite of the Union! Recently there was an Employee Driver shooting in the "hub" building; I could have told you that was bound to happen! The stock was private and only managers not drivers could buy it. Then the biggest IPO in US history!

There's another Very unhappy company on the Peninsula now. Employees tell me, "No one likes working here. No one likes their co-workers. It's amazing we get along." People are quitting all the time, in a hurry!  Yet it is a big luxury Corp campus. As an investor, I would think this should be valuable public information. Wonder if Wall Street knows who?  Do you know which very unhappy company this is?

Friday, 9 November 2018 and it is happening Again with the "camp" Paradise "Butte Country" Wildfire and the Ventura Wildfire!! No accurate map of the size of the fire.

It happened with the Sonoma Wildfire. Just a tiny campfire symbol to mark the general location. No map specifics.

The huge gigantic "Carr" fire in... Redding!! No accurate tv news broadcast mapping of that fire progress. Super expensive losses. And California fire insurance policies are intentionally vague on coverage!, Instead of one page summary, in English, clear and concise, "You house is only 80% covered and none of your belongings, furniture, or cars." Simple, but there is so much fraud and corruption.

And Today MALIBU very very very expensive 'hood is being evacuated!!

And the large city of Santa Rosa suburban wildfire. It wasn't till weeks after the start that helos and drones showed just part of the aerial widespread damage. Zero sirens at midnight because the police didn't want to start a panic!, so some people burned to death in their suburban beds. To this day, California rural residents and authorities have severely underestimated the danger of the Smokey-the-bear fuel load!

Look to a just Judge now to take down Costa-Hawkins, a law from Sacramento that said "no more city's or counties can have rent control." That law has been violated by these cities recently voting IN rent control!

If your news feed, tv or radio, say one temp SF, say 75f, you can pretty much disregard that single data point location, especially in "Summer", the coldest season w fog in the city. (The warmest is usually ,,,October)

Just for fun one day I looked up the actual location of the weather stations in Frisco and Sanjosey.

Then I called the tv Wx suits guys at ABC, CBS, and NBC and asked, "Do you guys know where the official weather station is in SF and SJ?"
Uhhhh, lots of guess,,, salaries probably in the 6 or 7 figures, but not one guy knew!
So I told them, for free.

Frisco's only official weather station was,,, guesses???,,, near the Castro Safeway and new Mint, on the Eastern and usually much warmer side of town! Duh.
Sometimes in "Summer" tourist season it can be sunny and warm up Market st. in the Gay, safer Castro.
At the same time just West less than an air mile away on Twin Peaks in the Summer clouds-stratus-fog it can be so cold damp windy and poor visibility you wouldn't get out of a tour bus or car at the famous popular Vista point!

So there should be at least 3 temps ,or 4, for Frisco: the moderate Castro, and the Ocean Beach far West say at the Beach Chalet restaurant, and the Wind Tunnel" of 40-60mph low point occasional breezes at the Fort Point under the Golden Gate(the name of the Sac.River mouth) say. Add maybe Bay View in the poor ,high crime, unpopular SE quarter near 3rd st. Or the Ferry Building near the Bay Bridge.

And Sanjosey?

It's the most moderate location(hint) again ,,, without the Huge day-night / location temp swings of the hill confined ugly sprawl, terrible red light traffic jams and commutes, and usually Worst boxed in Smog in the BayArea...

The wide open, flat, far North, benefiting from Bay cooling breezes,,, where no one lives(hint)... yep, the too close cramped crowded flashy SJO airport.
Moffitt Field would be a better Silicon Valley airport; You could approach from the South not so close to dt high-rise offices and condos or from the North over the Bay.
Regionally, Travis AFB would be better than clumsy SFO or rebuild terminal-late OAK or cramped SJO.

Watched the Frontline tv show on Pensions, especially DB/defined benefit ,the best, for police fire and teachers.
The show focused on the worst state situation in Kentucky where politicians for Years have not followed the Law and paid annually into the State Pension Fund, but spent the money ,,,elsewhere!

They said "California is also in big trouble with its DB pensions."

And Prop6, the bad Regressive state gas sale tax that should be repealed is replacing the STOLEN State Highway Trust Fund $!
Sacramento needs to do right ,for a change, and replace All that Highway "Trust" Fund!!

SF is a Lousy Home Housekeeper for decades of filthy sidwalks, potholed streets, and left litter!; I called 24-7 sf311 ,a fine reporting service, about 4 mattresses left on the sidewalk,"City will pick up in 4 hours", but it took 4 WEEKS!
