UPS management needs to grow up!! And the UPS shareholders need to tell the CEO making $M/yr that they will not stand for this COUNTER PRODUCTIVE, DECADES OLD, HURTS THE BUSINESS AND BOTTOM LINE, BAD MANAGEMENT PRACTICE OF ABUSING PACKAGE DELIVERY DRIVERS by the thousands BY TELLING THE nightshift LOADER TO TOSS ALL THE PACKAGES IN BACK, UP TO ALMOST THE CEILING IN THE AISLE SOMETIMES, INSTEAD OF DOING THE PAID FOR AND PROPER 'ROUGH SORT' !!
I talked to a very professional looking UPS driver the other day in San Jose, Silicon Valley and asked "Do the managers in the 3 piece suits and fat salaries still occasionally have the loaders toss the packages all over in back ,instead of the proper 'rough sort'?"
Yes, he said, and we still have to drive the package delivery truck off the UPS property to unload, sort and reload it, even tho we are unionized and Teamsters. i go to my friend's house, with a big safe backyard, but it is such a hassle! as we still have to deliver everything 'on time'.
UPS is such a big profitable American company, yet even the Teamsters Union and the Feds can not stop this counter productive ,common EMPLOYEE ABUSE!
