If the SIERRA CLUB won't or can't fight to keep the 2 River Campgrounds in Yosemite Valley open,,,why should anyone still be a member of the Sierra Club !?

NPS says ,,,there is a 'flood danger' in allowing the continued use of these 2 fabulous campgrounds.  As if floods have not passed through Yosemite Valley a thousand times in millions of years,,,


If you really wanted just to ban the fire pits to stop some of the smog in the Y. Valley, then fine, reopen the Upper and Lower River Campgrounds WITHOUT FIRE GRATES.


I challenge every Sierra Clugclugclug member ,,,to GET OFF YOUR DUFF,,,and DO SOMETHING MEANINGFUL for JOHN MUIR'S YOSEMITE, Dammit !!

The Democrats have until the end of 2010 to do something, a little, to save Social Security,,,then i am done with them, FOREVER.

Let's take a real world example, shall we , instead of b.s. boviating about some b.s. economic theoretic hypothesis.  My S.F. boss owns his own small business and in less than 20 years of cutting regular maintenance on a fleet of busses by running on bald tires and telling the mechanic to 'fix it ,,,maybe,,,next month' he has become a multi-millionaire. This is what greedy ambitious business people do. Cut corners any way they can to get rich as fast as they can.  Including stealing wages, yep, regular hourly wages from some of their gullible 50 employees. Unless properly regulated, this is what businesses do.


And not paying taxes ,if they can get away with it; Let some else 'have to' pay a fair share of taxes to derive the American benefits. There is no way this guy can threaten to 'leave for a 3rd world country',,,his biz is in S.F. !! Dual citizenship aside,,,for now.(And besides, California is quickly becoming that polluted, unregulated, unfair, unkept, littered ugly, and infrastructure crumbling, spoiled rich vs chattel /slave working masses of poor in a state of a 'third world country' condition,,,)


So what has this ambitious greedy guy done with the Jr. Bush Tax Cuts for the Rich ? Really.  Actually.  He has bought cheaper second and third rate buses, because they cost less but breakdown more and perform less well/reliably.


 New Setras and new MCIs. The Setras have a too small designed air compressor system to operate the main door and the air brakes, duhhh!!, and the new MCIs have a lousy hard ride compared to the 1980s old MCIs ,,,and the new MCI-'J's often stall on hills and possibly railroad tracks !! So scary.  Not Prevosts or Van Hools or reliable quality busses.


And more new flashy cars to drive.  And instead of a east coast vacation condo, a much larger and more expensive vacation house on the east coast. Oh, and huge contributions to politicians.  I don't see a lot of 'economic stimulus' there.


Mr. Moore , aren't you just making excuses for your rich friends and super profitable corporations to be more selfish and greedy-sick ?  Besides them not paying their fair share in taxes, progressive taxes, as these successful and profitable and super-rich can certainly afford to pay more, tho they don't want to.  


It is like milking dairy cows; you have to do it regularly and often and the 'cows' keep on producing and chewing their cud.

Why are the Democrats not ashamed of living with the obscene Bush Tax Cuts for the super-rich, when i am ?!!

How can the Democrats sleep at night, for TWO YEARS,,, when Social Security and the damn Federal Budget NEED THAT TAX MONEY ON EVERY DOLLAR OF RICH SELFISH BASTARD'S THAT ARE MAKING 600-800 MILLION A YEAR !!

Who is going to stand up for the working poor and the declining middle class,,,if not the Democrats ?!!   But the Democrats are not standing;they are sleeping. And collecting big money from fat secret money corporate 'special' interests.

The Public is no longer 'special' to Congress, that much is clear. Until we Americans rise up in a new revolution to take back our bought and paid for congress with public funded campaigns for all state and federal offices, we will continue to be disrespected, lied to, and cheated by this congress.

A Constitution amendment is necessary. We as a country founded on principles can not continue otherwise. We will all just be cash whores otherwise.

The Democrats talked up 'single payer' but could not even deliver a 'public option' !!  Now they are 'waiting' for the Bush tax cuts to 'expire' versus killing them with relish,,,What if they let them continue until forever ?

Strange tourists i have met in California on vacation,,,

First, there were the two women from 'russia' who talked the whole 12 hour tour in the front seats of the tour bus by the driver and microphone.  Isn't that right out of the Dirty Corporate Tricks and Other Unethical Behaviors Handbook ?  What business competitor would not do that.


And the 20-something rich princess from a SF Nob Hill  expensive hotel who got on a big tour bus and kept on,,, and kept on,,, telling the 'tour' talking driver ,,," i partied so hard last night i need to sleep so please NO MORE TALKING",,,on a tour bus?!


And three women who were 75 minutes late getting back to the tour bus in Yosemite Valley.


And the rich middle aged guy in the expensive fancy clothes with the silk neck scarf, from 'Spain',with his family in the front of the bus who grabbed the steering wheel of a moving 45' bus on highway 120 outside Yosemite National Park,,, of a moving 45' bus,,, and tried to turn it around,,,a moving bus with many tourists on it.  And the CHP would not come out to talk to this dangerous foreign-passport tourist with "you have left the scene and area of the incident".


And the Greek tour guide with 'his' 10 Greek tour passengers on a 55 passenger full bus of various other countries and various other hotel guests out of SF ,who kept telling the driver of the tour bus "my people are jet-lagged from the flight yesterday and need to sleep today SO NO TALKING !!" on a all day tour bus.


And the family that runs an expensive private charter yacht out of the West Coast who think it is the high-paying guests who have to suffer the daily loud and rude verbals attacks of the son, in public, against the father-captain of the large luxury yacht. 


And the Japanese tour guide out of an L.A. Japanese travel agency using a S.F. japanese bus company who for years told well dressed Japanese visitors on tour buses to Yosemite National Park that "there is gold in the steams here" just to secretly laugh and watch the Japanese tourists run into a park stream with their expensive shoes on with 'gold fever' to search for yellow or shiny specks.  Taking many many rocks out of the park.  And the S.F. japanese tour bus company was aware of this constant insult to foreign Japanese visitors.


And the old guy with the last wish to die in Muir Woods who had his whole large family on the regular SF to Muir Woods minibus, with a hidden bottle of oxygen. He stopped breathing when we got to the parking lot in Muir Woods and the driver asked if there were any nurses or doctors on board. Two nurses and a doctor, of 37 passengers , put him horizontal on the back seat and gave him an exam and established an airway. The driver called "911" and the ranger ran out, a fire truck from Sausalito showed up with siren and lights, and another emergency vehicle with sirens and lights showed up, an ambulance.  The old guy was taken to San Rafael city's hospital with his large family and the last word was he lived.


And the 3 screaming babies on the Carmel tour bus, returning to SF in 2 hours, who screamed bloody murder the whole way.  For 2 solid hours. One was up front with the mother and the old grandmother who kept saying to these high pitched operatic constant screams, "oh, isn't he the cutest".  There was another screaming child and his/her incompetent parents in the middle and,,,another screaming child and his incompetent parents in the back.  No pacifiers cuz "oh, we don't believe in them".  Isn't there some way to fine the incompetent parents,,,after an hour,,,not 2 full hours ??  Especially on airplanes.

Obama's EPA says the "toxic oil dispersant" used in the Gulf Oil Spill ,,,is not dangerous. That's SCARY !!

So Bush jr.'s EPA is static and did not get the campaign slogan "change" in the recent big upset national election ?

COMCAST has a huge problem with premium channel selection;You can not tell from 999 channels which ones you can watch !!

Does COMCAST really ,,,really ?,,,expect us to 3 stations at a time scroll through 999 options, with NO HIGHLIGHTING or STAR MARKING of those channels WE HAVE PAID FOR and CAN WATCH ??!!


Really.  We have to open each and every one of 999 channels, just to find the ones , scattered all over the place, that we have paid extra for and can watch. Really, is that the best that COMCAST can do in 2010 ?!!   And look at all those 'NOT AUTHORIZED' on each channel we are clicking thru ? Really !!


Comcast has a TERRIBLE awful out dated search mode for channels you have PAID FOR and CAN WATCH !!

VERSUS and TOUR DE FRANCE, Where are the safety, good sportmanship and honesty in racing!!??

How do we know or believe that the bicyclists are racing, if we don't have accurate information,,, like constant speed readings on all bicyclists with g.p.s.,,,and all riders wearing heart rate monitors?  Is it all just fakery and surrendered-'wins' and racers intentionally crashing in front of Lance Armstrong, and getting away with it !!, without even a protest verbally from commentators paul and phil ?


We get occasional temperatures and wind speeds, but not humidity and comfort indexes. What the hell up with that b.s.!?(Oh, it's french and the french have been stealing from American tourist on the Paris Metro by giving the wrong lesser change for years.) No excuse !!

You, spectator, interfere with a racer, say back-pat a racer or spit on a racer,,,YOU GO TO JAIL IMMEDIATELY and pay a fine of at least $1000.
(It's the french,,,ok, 1000 francs)


You let your dog loose near the peleton and the dog interferes with the race, you  GO TO JAIL IMMEDIATELY OVERNIGHT and pay a large 1000 franc fine.


You egomaniac-nonsupporter run within arms reach of the side of a racer or in front of a racer impeding the race ,because you are a self-center idiot!!, YOU GO TO JAIL IMMEDIATELY OVERNIGHT and pay a large fine 5000 francs.


And if you think you can get away with falling in front of a racer in bad sportmanship and unsafe behavior ,like happened to Lance Armstrong, and get away with it without ANY official commentator disapproval,,,YOU ARE IMMEDIATELY DISQUALIFIED FROM THIS TOUR and ALL FUTURE TOURS. And you pay a large fine of 50,000f.  Go race in Spain or Italy or Iraq.

What does this mean to civilized , more advanced economies?  The USA is still irresponsible and unbelievable and dangerously untrustworthy.  If it wants to be so reckless with its future, then other countries should beware.

July 2010 , President Obama's federal Department of Labor is anti-honest worker and pro-wage stealing corporations !!

I heard about the book on wage stealing in America, so i checked my multi-million dollar profitable employers wage stub against my records ,,,and found my California employer had been stealing not just 15 minutes a day, but two complete 16 hour days of work per 2 week paycheck !!


So i called Obama's San Francisco office of the Department of Labor and was told to tell my painful ,employee as less powerful position story ,,,to three different civil servants!!  They finally said 'you have a obvious strong legal case of wage theft ALREADY,,,so get MORE EVIDENCE and CALL a FOURTH one of us again,,,oh, and this has just been a CASUAL CONVERSATION so NOTHING is RECORDED or OFFICIAL" ,,,!!


I also complained to my Congressional Representative. Two days later my employer found out. Instead of 'friendly' hellos i have been getting lots of dirty looks from fat-cats who are stealing my wages.


So whose side are you on, Mr. President?  The rich profitable corporations who are so "deregulated" that they are now stealing our hourly wages all across America,,,or the practically powerless ,hard working working poor?

Many mistakes were obviously made in the Gulf oil spill Disaster. One was trusting the oil companies to save the environment from toxic oil spills. Big mistake.


And federal regulation was too good old boy inept/incompetent/useless.  Big mistake.


And the accident response was untested, unready, and had totally unreliable technology. Big mistake.


Toxic chemical dispersants, the experts and environmentalists might now tell you, should not have been used. The oil should have been collected on the surface at the site with better technology, like the movie star's, Kevin Costner's.  Big mistake.


And you and your team thought you were going to  exploratory oil drill off the Northern California coast !?  Big mistake!!

Versus !! You need to un-gag or fire you two Tour de France bicycle race commentators for bland spineless commentary

The head butting at the finish yesterday was CLEARLY unsafe, not good sportmanship, and against the rules!!  Yet VERSUS's two main commentators sat on their integrity and voices.  This has got to change!


Do the French and their Tour de France and Versus think the only way to keep interest in bicycle racing going is to have more of a gladiator sport, after cleaning up much of the illegal unfair performance drug abuse?  We want a safety ombudsman for the race, speed limits in the rain for safety like the yellow flag in oval Nascar car racing, and an end to the broken bone carnage of the cobblestone street stages!! This is 2010, for Christ's sake!! Sport clothing designers could design skid pads for hip and knee pressure contact points with the asphalt and elbow cushions in modern comfortable attire, like modern swim skins for racers.


And start showing the race leader/pack speed constantly, as we have had enough of the horse race fakery of petit mort winners and second rate assumers at the finish line!!
