Traffic in the N.E. quarter, especially in and around Fisherman's Wharf and Lombard Street-Van Ness-Hwy 101 where the street lights ARE STILL NOT TIMED,,,dammit!!,,,tho they use to be!!,,,was the WORST TRAFFIC OF THE YEAR,,,OR IN YEARS !!
It is bad enough that the Embarcadero is not timed, Van Ness and Lombard are no longer timed, 19th Avenue is no longer timed,,,OK, so S.F. wants traffic snarls and pissed off drivers !! TALK ABOUT AN ACTIVE ANTI-TOURIST ATTITUDE OF NEGLECT AND CARELESSNESS !!
Market Street is not timed,,,neither is Columbus Street at a slow safe speed. OK, so S.F. was designed by a no college degree idiot who made all the lots 25ft wide(that is why most Victorians are so narrow), and had 2 grids that do not mesh even on Market Street(id-iot!!), and grid streets that go straight up hills(not curved,,duh) ,,, and straight down steep hills, and he had 3 sets of numbered streets and 2 sets of lettered streets(what?!!) because he was too lazy dumb and stupid to even name the streets.
OK, that is the SF city old gold rush for 3-8yrs and silver boom for 20yrs history. But to continue such CARELESS TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT IN THE 21ST CENTURY,,,shame on you lazy careless incompetent do-nothin-cops San Francisco !! (That is the 'job' of a separate department the DPT,,,that is seldom ,and NOT THEN, around !!)
The public message SF is sending out by its behavior is "DO NOT DRIVE TO SF,,,it is ok you VISITORS don't come to this tourist-dependent(primary business,,,"REALLY?!!") town,,,
WE DON'T NEED OR WANT YOU."
No nice words for x-mayor 'Slick' Willie Brown and his current protege mayor Gavin Newsom. San Francisco is sooo NOT EFFICIENT AND NOT WELCOMING.
Even the signage at SFO is STILL getting complaints from first time visitors as "confusing",,,,!! Damn, SF, can you be more poorly run and a bigger mess ?
