The public will clamor for punishment to fit the crime for those who used deception and illegal fraud to get us into this mess, and not just a token few, but many banks and bankers should swing, as should many financial ratings companies and their employees, and not to let slide, some insurance executives too. We are fed up will the rich making a mess for all of us and not paying for their mistakes and intentional deceipts !! The little guy with a mortgage is being sacrificed for foreign banks and foreign insurance companies , as if we American workers could afford to pay everyone around the world back for the mistakes and greed of those at the top here in the US! Where is the Senate investigation into how this happened, who is at fault, and how do we prevent this from happening again ??
Why have these terrible adjustable rate mortagages/ARMs not been outlawed yet ? Why has the US Federal Govt not taken over all mortgages ? Why have the weak companies and weak banks not been chopped on the block of bankruptcy when that is what is being done to US individuals over and over , more and more ?! We taxpayers have lost Billions to A.I.G. and yet we do not own all of it, as a columnist pointed out, we are subsidizing the past CEO major shareholder who does not deserve it !! Is Congress still beholden to bankers more than voters ??
Mr. President, the financial pain is still very unequal here in the United States,,,just like the recent financial gains were very unequal !! Here is one to tickle PETA and the SPCA: Beware of buying a shelter kitten/cat !!
Growing up in the 50s , it was common practice, waaay back then, to go to someones house and see their litter of hand-raised, as is HANDLED OFTEN and LOVINGLY, kittens. We had a string of long lived, happy, normal, crap outside, kittens and cats who loved to curl up on our stomachs at naptime,,,and in our laps all the time.
But nowadays, all my family has succumbed to the sucker call of 'rescuing a cat/kitten' at a shelter . Such fools !!
First, most of these kittens and cats have not been properly handled and taught to be affectionate by the shelter staff, so that when you get them, they refuse to be picked up, and are mostly afraid of people !! They will not let you pick them up with two hands or even by their neck skin. Imagine how long that pissed-off cat is going to be your PET ?!
Second, they are not potty trained,,,and tend to crap all over YOUR HOUSE, YOUR BROTHERS HOUSE,,, AND YOUR PARENTS HOUSE,,,ALL OVER , EVERYWHERE IN THESE HOUSES !! Again, the animal shelters are not doing their job. And you suckers are going to be stuck with a miserable pet,,,for YEARS,,,and CRAP ON YOU BED,,,CRAP ON THE CARPET,,,CRAP ON THE NEW COUCH,,,
Caution if you think buying from a 'respected' cat breeder is the answer , as one sis bought 2 $500 pedigree persians , who also were afraid of people ,,,because they were NOT 'hand raised' as the famous Los Angeles breeder said. Bonus!, they also were not litterbox trained and CRAP ALL OVER THE CARPET. They run away from their owner in her house,,,and they run away from all friendly visitors.

If you are going to charter a bus ,,,You should ask "Do you do Maintenance and Preventative Maintenance?",,,otherwise you might be in for a Very Rude
Shock, in the form of a BREAKDOWN,,,out in the middle of ,you guess it, NO WHERE !! And what a huge waste of TIME that might be,,,for You ? Don't forget to get this IN WRITING, such as " Yes , we do preventative maintenance on all our charter buses,,,and for instance replace the engine belts and fuel filters every six months(/year), regardless of waiting for total failure of the part,,,so that you might avoid a preventable breakdown."
That way you have grounds to sue in the USA,,,if you do breakdown,,, and find the bus was not maintained,,, and the fuel filter is 3 years old,,,and the main engine belt is,oops, original ! From reading the bus industry magazines, this is a very low priority for the industry and individual bus companies, who tout new buses, when the Canadian Prevost is the bus you want for all long over the road trips,,,not the canadian new-ish mci,,,maybe a Van Hool from Holland ,,, maybe a Volvo bus,,,new Setra's from Germany come with a roof leak right over the driver and lots of other mechanical frailties ,,,
Also recommend you ask about the number of CHP citations the drivers in the company ,,,and especially Your driver has had ,,, in the last 3-5 years or ever. Any drunk driving citations? Any health problems for my driver? How old is my driver and how healthy is he/she and how long have they been driving for you,on this run?,,,are all smart questions. Can they read a map? Some limo and bus drivers currently can not. Can they speak and read English? I have worked with some safe Mexicans who can not read English,,,

Ask for a everyday ,real picture of the yard and current photos of all buses, showing all the body damage, especially the front windshields with multiple cracks for months,,,and months. Does the bus have a ladder and Windex and paper towels to keep the front windows clean in this bug season ? A broom and a mop and a bucket to clean the floor daily when the driver goes to refuel ?? Also pictures of drivers, as some are truly scary ones, even before they meet you at the airport !! If you see a lot of broken glass and broken parts all over the yard, plus piles of dog poop,,,you can imagine how often the seats get steam cleaned of drinking drunk's vomit,etc.

More Acura(Honda) Integra problems,,,in 9th year, the clutch pedal went out,,,for $400
at Santa Cruz's Bobby's Pitstop garage, a good private/independent garage, much better i think than most dealership garages.
The master piston and slave piston for the clutch pedal, $200, had to be replaced,,,plus about $200 labor.
A 'luxury" car such as an Acura(Honda) should have a clutch pedal assembly that lasts more than 10-15 years,,,
Also, the 4 head light lens covers can not be independently replaced,,,in case they get cracked,damaged, or painted over by Bay Cities body shop in Burlingame like mine were...Instead you have to buy the entire headlight unit---talk about bad $$$$$ design--- at $495 EACH , or about $2000 , just for 4 new lenses !!
Recommend you not buy Acura.

Let's stop soft-pedaling how bad the financial system is due to "dishonest derivatives", not just toxic assets
Will the Republican Party ever admit to their utter failure at governing the Nation ,,,and how close they brought us all, the U.S.A. and many international countries, to the brink of a depression, probably greater than the so-called "Great Depression" ? It is too near to talk honestly about it,,, isn't it ?
Probably not. They still,,,March 2009,,,talk about natural bubbles ,,,and recurring cycles,,,next it will be the 'fates' and 'the gods on Mount Olympus'. Yes, Clinton did not help by taking away the Glass-Stegal Act and other follies,,,but before the last 6 months of Bush43s term, the Reprobate Republicans actually seemed to be enjoying their grand illusion of "Deregulation" and their religion of Capitalism, One World Economy and Free-such a fraud and lie-Markets to the detriment of city, county, and national identity and standards.
A.I.G.'s products were over valued with their hidden down sides and under secured by a lack of cash when the parent company was down rated from "AAA". The employees got their huge bonuses then,,,and they got up to $6M each recently with their exposed failure and financial support of the American taxpayer,who will probably be not fully reimbursed for their sucker generosity, as usual.
Remember how the public was fleeced-- and the Feds just watched--by the huge Savings and Loan Ripoff of the 80s,,,and then we were told to 'disregard the normal stock measures' when we again were fleeced in mass with the Dot.Com Bubble of 1995-2000, remember,,,and now again, many of us have lost most or all of our life savings and jobs to still greedy,Congress-buying bankers and paid-to-lie rating agencies and a small tiny division in London / Connecticut of A.I.G. that went crazy selling very dishonest derivatives ,,,remember ?
Don't you see a pattern here ? About every 10 years now we too-busy-working and too-uninformed-to-understand Americans have our life savings stolen from us by Corporate America,,,with our supposed protectors, the Federal Government looking the other way,,,and stumbling and fumbling, again with our tax dollars and generations of debt, to band-aid the problem.
This is both the Republicans and Democrats and a urgent reason why we must immediately elect all Federal Reps and Senators with public money to at least stop some of the obvious lobby-pac buying of Congress. We voted in California to stop the state legistature from continuing to gerrymander/draw their own corrupt districts, but the state legislature does not like public initiatives like this and now wants to rewrite the state constitution, probably to take away public initiative, recall (of the lying bum Grey Davis ,governor) and referendum,,,and re-instate gerrymandering. It may be too late for California to be pulled out of the dark swamp of corporate-paid campaigns and backdoor politics with little or no effective political "sunshine".

Good news,,,$12 for polarized, pink-red lens wraparound sunglasses vs $175 across the street at Oakley
I was at the Winchester Mystery House in San Jose , in their gift shop, and noticed a cylindrical display of $12 polarized wrap around sunglasses with a sport frame. Since there was free parking and free admission to the gift shop, i walked across the street to enjoy Santana Row, opposite the Valley Fair Shopping Center, the number one grossing shopping center in California.
Saw lots of beautiful shops and restaurants, and walked into Oakley to see their sport frame, polarized, pink-red lens for great cloud contrast and truer colors. Theirs were $175.
I went back to the free entrance,north side, not east side , of the gift shop and bought a pair of the $12 fine wrap arounds !!

I recently saw "THE ULTIMATE ROSE BOOK" a big coffee table reference book, for $14.99 ,,,when it is STILL selling at other Borders for full price of $75.00 !! So next time you walk into Borders by all those "sale" stacks of books, don't think like i use to, oh these are books no one wants and they can't sell. Tower Records folds,,,Virgin Records closes,,,no wonder if you treat your customers like 'marks' !!
I was in Border and Barnes & Noble recently, both mainly known for selling books, and they do a pretty good job of it. Competitive, polite, informative, willing to help you find that weird piece of author misspelled or title one word or subject that might get you to a mainstream or obscure book you would buy and enjoy reading.
Then why does the RIAA/recording industry and stores like Tower and Virgin and Borders and B&N do such a half-ass job of selling cds ?! They don't even publish my favorite music review, "Musichound", any more,,,not even digitally. And if you go into any of these stores and ask about music,,,remember for some this is their only game, their main game,,,they can only give a personal opinion. YIKES !!
Even MTV forgot its primary mission ,,,showing music videos, and went to teen soaps,,,
No pc terminals with websites listing all of an artists published works, which hit #1 as singles and which sold how many albums. Professional critics opinions and the publics opinions. NOPE. Maybe 'they' just don't want you to know. And that is sad in this 21st Century. On the web, it is sooo hard to find music lyrics and print them so you can sing along with the song !! Maybe a new model will emerge, where the artist is treated much better. Why does "MCA" have to have its name so much bigger than any famous artist it has ever signed ,,,on every one of the millions of cds that it sells worldwide? Talk about a major insecurity and inferiority complex!
Then why does the RIAA/recording industry and stores like Tower and Virgin and Borders and B&N do such a half-ass job of selling cds ?! They don't even publish my favorite music review, "Musichound", any more,,,not even digitally. And if you go into any of these stores and ask about music,,,remember for some this is their only game, their main game,,,they can only give a personal opinion. YIKES !!

No pc terminals with websites listing all of an artists published works, which hit #1 as singles and which sold how many albums. Professional critics opinions and the publics opinions. NOPE. G-R sells alot of PROACTIV,,,but where are the HOW TO USE THE PRODUCT/S TOGETHER descriptions ??!?
My Dad is getting, at 90, big boils on his back and his neck and we have tried just zit cream, like Oxy 10, but needed more. Otherwise the Kaiser doctor said he would have to lance/operate on the boils,,, again. So with every-other-day hot showers--he is too stubborn to do it daily or twice daily-- with Ivory Soap and a scrub brush or loofa scrub sponge, we bought some Proactiv,,,and quickly got off the re-order train!!,,,because we were swamped with info on how great each of the many acne products were by Proactiv, and what they were generally for,,,but NOTHING on exactly HOW TO USE THESE PROACTIV PRODUCTS,,, DAILY AND TOGETHER !!
So here goes: We bought just 4 of the many Proactiv products, the RENEWING CLEANSER in the larger white opaque plastic container, which you use like soap in the morning to "exfoliate" with your fingers, like rub around the whole area, in this case the back and neck,,,Then rinse with warm water and pat dry 'gently' with a towel.
Next is the option of using the REFINING MASK in the small white opaque bottle,,, to apply with fingers,,,BUT only once per day,,,and let dry. Do this only if you need to, as when the acne is Serious, not mild.
The next step, usually the second step, is to use the REVITALIZING TONER in the green transparent plastic bottle,,,(and apply it gently over the REFINING MASK if you did that option),,,using a flat cotton pad gently,,,and let dry. So you may have to apply this all over a back and a neck.
Next is the REPAIRING LOTION in the white opaque plastic bottle and you apply it with your finger/s to only the actual zits,,,and again wait for it to dry.
I had to email the webmaster,,,and then call Customer Service to get this info. You can apply the 3 twice a day, in the morning and before bed in the evening.
In summary, you wash the skin area with the RENEWING CLEANSER, rinse, and gently dry. So do this in the shower. Then usually use the REVITALIZING TONER over all the back and neck area or whatever area you are treating--use caution because some of the products are NOT for all skin areas--with the flat cotton pad and let dry. Then you apply the REPAIRING LOTION over that dry layer, but use your fingers and apply it only directly onto the zits,,,and let dry.

What is wrong with all the affiliated websites, like GRAMMYS and tv broadcaster CBS or whatever, in that you can not watch or re-watch the entire tv show of the 2009 Grammy Awards ? Only clips and snips of this or that are available, cuz i had a software engineer-friend double check for free. Comcast boxes, both D-A and D-D, don't work well
We have two tvs and two boxes from Comcast and neither work to our satisfaction. The Digital-Analog big black box WITH A LARGE MONTHLY CHARGE for our old tv does not even turn the box and tv on and off well !! Plus we get a lot of Comcast channels that do not work with signs of "just a moment please",,, for months,,,
On the newest digital flat tv, we were told we had to get a digital-digital small black box with no monthly charge. The main problem is we can no longer use the tv's better remote, but must use the few-features, cheap looking Comcast remote !! THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE and we are looking for another carrier, maybe AT+T.

Big rage over swimmer Phelps smoking pot, but look at all our "athletes" who smoke tobacco with a nicotine drug habit they can NOT STOP !!
Sure Mr. Phelps was unwise to risk his $$$$$ endorsements by smoking pot once at a party. He has to be careful now of people taking advantage of him and trying to get him in trouble or take away his money and fame. Hopefully he has the college education and maturity to make good choices for himself. And family and true friends to help him.
But let's not be hypocritical, since we PUSH and LOOK AWAY at lots of similar ATHLETES and even STAR ATHLETES and our precious USA SOLDIERS who are all allowed and encouraged to smoke tobacco, which is a terrible unhealthy addictive drug of nicotine with many other very toxic substances. It is strange that it is still, after Sinatra, such a positive popular image of sexiness and maturity to smoke ,when we know what it does to turn your lungs to black glop and give you lung cancer, etc. Like we are suppose to look forward to kissing "licking the ashtray" and any future baby can look forward to at least second-hand smoke or ,gee, maybe nicotine-tainted breast milk. And look at the tremendous medical cost in our collective future and each person or addicts future ,not to mention all the tobacco lawsuits and money spent on lawyers !!
U.S.A. SOLDIERS are sold cheaper cigarettes and use to be given them. This is a really stupid national policy, to give our brave fighting men and women something we know without a shadow of doubt to be a killer,,,when they are risking their very lives for us back home. Most of the services feed the soldiers-contractees well but do not have PE/PT regular/daily exercise sessions to keep the soldiers fit;I was in the Navy and the brass had next to zero interest in our physical fitness !!
I recently saw a PROFESSIONAL and AMATEUR ICE SKATER show, and was shocked to see many of these STAR ATHLETES lighting up cigarettes out back of the ice rink as soon as the show was over! What message does this send to our youth about how fit you need to be to do this difficult sport of ICE SKATING ?!!? Does it reduce food hunger that much or keep them smoker-skinny versus fit-skinny ? And these are FAMOUS SKATERS as famous as or more famous than Mr. Phelps !! They have a dirty little secret that they are surely ashamed of, being unable to quit the nicotine drug addiction habit !!
I also recently saw a touring Broadway-type show and MOST OF THE DANCERS smoked !! How can this be ?! And why does "Broadway" and its traveling shows not have a better health standard for its dancers ? Don't they care about the health of their employees and their futures? How can these amazing ATHLETES continue even today to destroy their lungs and long term health while trying to perform at such high endurance levels ? Yes, yes, it is legal for adults to smoke in the USA , but it is very unhealthy and unwise and expensive in medical costs to all of us, and the smoking addict. So why do we set such low standards for our STARS and our PROFESSIONAL ATHLETES and our AMATEUR ATHLETES ??
Even in high school in the 1960s there were SCHOOL ATHLETIC TEAMS ,BOTH VARSITY and JUNIOR VARSITY, where if you smoked or did not smoke did not matter to the team or the school or the children's parents. What the hell are we teaching about a terrible addictive and unhealthy drug, nicotine, and its social stupid style device, the cigarette ?!!?
Some consider life a blessing, a treasure, or a phenomenal gift. And this is how we use this 'blessing'??! Surely, even if you have not talked to a smoker lately, most can agree this is just an ADDICTION, with little pleasure, and with terrible costs. I see a 20 yr old beautiful woman who smokes,,,and i see transposed the black gooey lungs from a medical journal of an old smoker. Talk about a way to get vain physical-beauty high school kids to stop smoking by having them dissect smokers lungs and not just healthy innocent frogs.
If we can not outlaw this stupid habit and addiction by adults with a Big weakness of character because of the Constitution, maybe we can offer these addicts health prevention and treatment programs in high schools and colleges and say that if you want to play on the school team, you must sign a pledge not to smoke and be an addict-athlete ? And if you want to be in the Olympics , you coaches and team members must behave to a higher personal health standard, and not be a drug addict smoker-athlete. The Olympics now allows coaches of 'junior Olympians' to smoke in front of its learning athletes !!

Black ,dark, drab colored cars statistically are in more ACCIDENTS
Why be a fashion victim,,,and a highway accident fatality by buying a black or dark colored car ? You will not be seen as well at a white or bright color painted car. I have in my black Acura ("only yellow or black made") been in so many near misses at night ,especially when cars or trucks are merging onto the freeway at night and with my headlights on, these people still do not see my black car. I do feel my headlights, even on high, are very adequate,,, but i have to be extra careful. So i try to keep the left side lane open so i can quickly change lanes when someone merges onto the freeway, as if i blended into the darkness with my LAST black car.

S.F. live theater dance production of "Burn the Floor" ,14 Feb 2009
This dance company has been touring the world for 10 years and has JUST NOW come to S.F. FOR THE FIRST TIME with its second show "Burn the Floor". I watched the tv documentary before going,,,and even read a minor slighting review in the newspaper. But this show is DYNO-MITE!! I give it 5 stars! It is better than STOMP,,,and reminds me of those joyous dance epics FOOTLOOSE and FLASHDANCE.
The newspaper article review complained about the first hour being "too sexy",,,heck, it is a show about passionate public dancing between a woman and a man, in the past and current styles,,,so i hope there is still some good heat between couples ! He also did not like the "Proud Mary" number in the second hour. Me , i like a little tail shaking now and then.
I can not praise enough the high skill, talent, apparently extreme health fitness, and not to mention beauty or handsomeness of the dancers !! There were two, 2, gorgeous redheads,,,two !!, 2, tall stunningly breathtaking brunettes-i especially liked the one with the tattoo between her shoulder blades hidden by her silky shiny soft long swaying hair,,,and 2, yes i know, two delish devilishly divine blonds, one with curly hair and one with hula hips and straight hair. So there is something for everyone to look at, even the men of S.F!
The men on stage were as varied is style and personality as the women. And i had my favorite from the start, but i should not gossip about such silliness. OK, the shortest guy with the shortest hair has the longest most fluid style and great facial expression, both with his dance partners and with the audience, that,,,well,,,the show was such a pleasure to watch and applaud over and over again for. There were a few standing ovations, even tho the ladies in the audience outnumbered us gents.
The 2 percussionist were great and reminded me of seeing the grand Tina Turner concert show and her old pony-tailed exciting percussionist. And the singers were so good, especially i liked the second hour or act with the latin song about 'cuerpo'-beautifully sung- and also the old rock and roll favorite of 'tainted love', since at 40+ lovers i can relate to heartbreak in the search for lasting love.
The dance crew is young and works so hard , with such quick costume changes--the torn levis and open white shirts works for me,,,and then there were the bangle dresses oh my--that i hope they are enjoying their hard work on stage. It looks like they are and i hope all you good people out there get to see them before they have to LEAVE SOON !! We four paid $69 for mid-aisle back orchestra/main floor seats where the dancers often strutted their stuff and it was money well spent, says Mom and the 2 sisters.
Again, this show will not be here long because they are a touring company and have show commitments elsewhere,,,You may be a great salsa dancer and go to clubs all the time,,,or you just watch a lot of 'dancing with the stars' like me. In this cold dark rainy winter it is good to have such super-talented dancers to watch, starstruck,dumbfounded, and enjoy. I hope you all get to see this joyous flirty classy sexy hot ballroom and other moves dance company show production. Don't forget to get your cd for $10 and dvd for $20 in the lobby after !! Happy Valentine's Day, you dancers through life !!

Every murder in the USA should be investigated IMMEDIATELY by the FBI
How many botched city police and county sheriff murder investigations and expensive botched trials do we have to continue to see, with innocent people going to jail while too expensive DNA evidence sits and sits neglected in some storeroom,,,and innocent people sit on death row and some are wrongly executed ?
Even the SFPD is a joke. They don't do parking and traffic, as that is for the DPT. They could not find the Zodiac killer,,,even if your life depended on it. And now the new talk is that during the 20s and Prohibition, the overpaid and arrogant SFPD kept the Mafia out of town, so they could profit off all the illegal drinking, prostitution, gambling, etc. Oh, and the city's recent contract tow company was busted for towing and charging $$$$$ legally parked cars for years and years !! Germany and Mercedes Benz will not make enough Sprinter vans for the USA,,,so what you say?

Look in the Southeast quarter, Third Street area, to see how badly he treats the poorest people and quarter of the city. Notice all the many miles of potholes and lack of years and decades of needed repaving,,,and the lack of police outside their cruisers,,,Quint street needs repaving badly,,,and many others,,,No huge gigantic parking garage block is 'planned' for the China Basin medical research park being built.
Even on the more affluent North and West quarters, many streets need repaving !! Look at 7th Avenue, south of Lawton.
If the number one business of SF is tourism, then why wait another year,,,and another year,,, to repave the road up to Twin Peaks, the geographic center and a tourist highlight ?? The Golden Gate parking lot BADLY needs two new sets of toilets ,,,just like the Marin side got. Don't wait for California, the NPS at the Presidio nor the Mayor.
Will there ever be an inside curb 'tour bus only parking' block on one of the 4 sides of the super famous Alamo Square with the 'postcard row of Victorian redwood houses' ?,,,not if neighbors are allowed to continue to believe and act as if this very popular PUBLIC park IS a "PRIVATE" park.

When you can have 'CLEAN ,HIGH TECH, HIGH PAYING JOBS' in the new and coming computer industry. Now we have the greatest concentration of Superfund sites in the USA, more than Love Canal or 3 Mile Island. Thank you American Computer Industry.

Chico is a very attractive Northern California college town for Chico State. There is a famous "micro" brewery located there, but not many large businesses. Since they have been more strictly policing the annual campus party that was getting out of hand, like in San Luis Obispo, the small city has more appeal.
Now it does get very hot there in summer. Inner tube-ing on the river is a cooling remedy for some. Corporate mega-farming is the rule, with poisonous crop dusters common. I would say it is much more "livable" than the ugly sprawl and sawmills of Redding. State capital Sac-a-tomatoes and the SF Bay Area are not so far away for a big long state with a car love affair, by super highway 5.
So if you are a non-smoker, and a recent graduate from a respected US nursing program, even with very little 'catch21' job experience, i recommend you contact the hospital in town. Good luck !!

If you are toasting rice cakes in a toaster under a wooden cupboard, be careful of the FIRE RISK
For 60 years the toaster, a new one about every 5-10 years, has sat on the tile counter under the wood cabinet holding the plates,about 8" above. We make a lot of toast with 6 in the family.
Then we started toasting ricecakes and noticed they burned much faster so you basically had to stand by the toaster for less than 60 seconds. What we did not notice , until the smoke alarm went off one night !!, was the accumulation of rice cake pieces in the bottom of the toaster had become "kindling" for a fire that went up the wood cabinet ,8" above !!
So they must have smoldered after dinner, and then when we went to sleep, they burst into flame and caught the cabinet on fire. We currently have the kind of toaster with a small thin tray that slides out and we intend to go back to the big bottom door kind so it is easier to regularly drop the crumbs from the toaster into the sink and disposal. We have moved the toaster away from the wooden cabinet.
Have you ever seen a house go up in flames after a toaster fire at night? We took a tour when one was made available by the local fire department to get the point across. There was little left other than the house framing. Be careful out there !!

Do you run into buy products and wonder afterwards, what the hell were they thinking?! Here is my beginning of a list:
1-NEW CAR SALES-- that do not come with Rain Science on the outside of the windows and rear view mirrors,,,so that when you first get the car splashed with road salt and grime, the windows are permanently damaged with hard water spots !! Permaplate is such a waste i have found, when you are told after,,, you have to do a refresher coat ever year. So do your own Rain Science gel coat,,,first thing !!
2-OPTICIANS--carbonfiber frames that are light and thin, but break on the first drop,,,and can not be glued or mended,,,there goes $300 !! Also the fishing line under the lens frames, that ever time you touch the corner of your eye, the lens falls out and scratches on the ground !! Bad bad bad design,,,and they are still selling this schlock.
3-NEW HOMES--When you get that new home , look down your rain gutters and downspouts to see the built in restriction ,which means more leaves getting stuck, the raingutters filling with water,and overflowing not just to the outside but to the inside ,inside your roof!! Talk about common "traditional" bad home design,,,The downspout is usually rectangular, i just measured ours, and 1.75" x 2.75" for a area of 4.8 square inches. But inside is a smaller round pipe about 2" in diameter or (A=Pi x r squared) 3.14". And nowadays i notice that home builders and remodelers are putting wire bonnets over the 2" downspout entrance, making sure you clog you rain gutters with even more leaves !!
Then there is the standard shower stall,,,Millions of these were sold in dimensions of about 31"x 34"x 80" tall, but not even a yard square !! That may be big enough for a child or a small person, but not an adult American !
And the combination freezer-refrigerator that just can not contain a weeks worth of food for a family of 5-6 !! I recommend a stand alone refrigerator in the kitchen space,,,and put the vertical freezer in the garage or pantry.
And the water heater,,,'designed and built' into an interior closet so small you can not or can just barely get a fiberglass insulation blanket around the water heater. Of course now there are more efficient inline water heaters and also better inline water softeners.

It isn't 2000, or even 2001, but 2009Feb,,,and Congress wants to push back the DIGITAL TV date, not for Consumers as they say,,,
,,,but for the advertisers, who realize that if more tvs are not ready, then they will have to take less in ad revenue !! Remember, Congress is STILL OWNED BY CORPORATE LOBBYISTS !!!!!
I have my $400 new hdtv and am ready with super expensive $62 standard cable from crummy customer service Comcast. But if you go down the list of currently available tv channels you will note that most , maybe 80% are analog and were to disappear on the recent date of 17Feb2009.
Now don't expect our national media to ask any smart questions; They just usually repeat what they are told,,,either by the debunked Bush Administration or anybody they put in front of the camera. Talk about spineless lazy easymoney !!
So, let's keep the 17Feb2009 date and maybe the shoedraggers and slowpokes and procrastinators will finally get a cheap digital+analog tv antenna to put on top of their beer 6pac next to the old tv.

Let's all work together,,,and if the Republicans still want to be contrarians and obstructions by making up silly fusses about minor tax problems and Obama is not superclean like Jesus ,compared to the Bushes, w-hell we are so glad to the massive improvement we will not be fools for Perfection until Heaven. Let the Republicans continue to play their dirty uncivilized pro-riche and pro-corp. anti-democratic nonsense,,,and they will never ever rise again under such false colors. Think of all the various lies and smears and slanders and general dishonesty we have had to put up with in the last 8 years and longer ????!!!!
How do i know that Congress knew? I phoned at least one back in the 80s when i had a mutual fund series 6 sales license and saw rampant illegality, like forging signatures, that the SEC and Congress CHOSE TO IGNORE under "Deregulation",,,and now the corps and banks have super-profited,,,and we all commoners are left to pay,,,holding the bag.
I mean what is the point of paying these benchwarmers all that money in the SEC, and of course in our bloated inefficient and ineffective federal government,,,UNDER "DEREGULATION",,,if you did not expect them to do little or nothing ????! Some people may think that just because we elected an honorable President this time, our collective job is done. Heck no, we STILL HAVE TO FLUSH THE CORPORATE LOBBYISTS OUT OF CONGRESS by having public funded state and national elections with free digital tv and radio time. So we have so far far to go to return to a more democratic union than we would have been under the Republican sellouts.

"Melrose" is the best tasting eating vs canning peach i ever tasted, yet UCDavis and the State Plant Library,,,"never heard of it" ?!
My Grandfather grew Melrose peaches in the Marysville-Yuba City area in the early 1900s up until the Great Depression, when Bank of America did not even give his family a second chance but repossessed the orchard so that the grandparents could not afford to feed the 2 children, who were sent to relatives in SF and Oakland for years. So they may say that the Great Depression was only 25% unemployment, but the fiscal and social costs were much much deeper.

Sort of like trying to find replacement wooden pruner/lopper handles ! Stores will sell you pruners with wooden handles, but not the replacement 24-25" two screws to attach handles. What a crazy market.

The Federal D.O.T. now requires that all used, spent flashlight batteries be TAPED over on both TERMINALS ,,,BEFORE RECYCLING,,,what ?!?!
Is this a Bush landmine/turd, meant to mess up the succeeding Administration ? What a TERRIBLE idea that will have the practical effect of stopping most people from recycling 'AA' and 'C' batteries,,,and they will toss them in the trash,,,and these toxic batteries will end up in our trash and landfill. The average American understands that the American Federal Tax Code is way too long , way to corrupt with 'rifleshots' and 'loopholes', and that the Republicans let lobbyists come into Congress and actually write their homework for them,,,and that tax reform is a huge problem that Congress and Washington, D.C. has neglected for far far far too long.
So what did Republican President Bush and the Republican Party do with the first half ,$350 BILLION TAX DOLLARS, of the TARP/bailout money and were they fiscally responsible and transparent/honest with the public on how it would be spent ? First we were told the money would start to buy up dishonest bad 'toxic' assets, but it was used by their too chummy friends to buy investment banks that were and still are on the verge of failure,,,and it seems ok to par-tay like rock stars for AIG at the Ritz Carlton in Half Moon Bay like the other taxpayer invested irresponsible corporations,,,and remodel an office for over a $1million,,,fly and buy in and out of Congress with many too many corporate jets,,,oh, and the obscene bonuses for all those overpaid Wall Streeters and golden parachutes for incompetent c.e.o.s and failing corporate managers,,,with very little tracking or care where the money went. Did we miss anything on how fiscally irresponsible the Republicans were to the very bitter end? Ok, so much for any fiscal ideas from these total failures in almost every aspect of government, the Republicans.
So get a grip on reality and drop these extremists, PBS commentators. They do not represent the average joe or jill in the USA.

Australia Open 2009 in Melbourne: the women singles show amazing lack of True Grit, too shameful to watch!!
The commentators , mc mj and the others , on the women's singles did not seem capable of telling us the truth, just diplomatic,,, propaganda,,, b.s!! So lets talk about the terrible shameful play by most "professional" women playing singles tennis , even Venus who mentally and emotionally showed how vulnerable and thin her game is. Even Serena showed poor sportsmanship by swearing, i heard, and after years of similar wins by intimidation showed how very shallow her confidence was. For comparison, look on the men's single side to the amazing fabulous high level of play by Verdasco, to the very-last-point,,,
Tennis is a great physical and mental-emotional sport ,wherein if you don't believe you can 'beat' your opponent, you probably will hit a lot of balls into the net, hits balls out of the court, and not win ! Wow, did Safina ever show her soap opera side ? If i was her brother i would play her in a black leotard, since she seems to fear black, and wear a big afro and clown nose with pillows in my shirt and pants, swearing at her all the time to mentally toughen her. Did you see the woman singles player from Belarus ,,,shocking ?!!!
The sport seems to be producing women single patsies who hit to the OPPONENT not away from the opponent and sometimes repeatedly to the opponents favored side !! Capriati was a very talented player but had a reputation for not being able to close a match/beat an opponent/win,,,but rather get very well paid, maybe millions, for consistently losing/choking. We hoped Safina would not follow in such fragile, unprepared, too painful to watch footsteps. Look at Dem. and how many tournaments she has been in with fitness, and good ball handling skills but not the ability to "beat" and make unhappy the opponent. Do these women have too much of a need to please others ,,,or what ??!!
We need to help these women overcome their unreasonable and irrational fears, since it seemed Safina and Dem. both had the easy-part physical game/physical ability to easily beat Serena. Easily. Are there shrinks on tour ? Have these women seen therapists ?? Because the women's single side of tennis has sunk to a new low of fit and unfit competitors who can hit the ball,,, but are afraid to win. It is too shameful to watch.
Then there was the atrocious weather , that again the well paid commentators were not allowed or would rather not talk about. Ok, tennis is a summer sport played in the sun and sometimes humidity. But let's get rational here folks; Do we have to play in the worst possible weather for a country, when a roof could be closed and or an a/c could be turned on. There needs to be a defined playable weather range decided, just like when it rains and play is discontinued until the weather improves. This is not a gladiator sport where we are trying to kill Nadal with a ridiculous short interval of less than 48hrs between major matches or 4-5 hrs,,,or is it ?
The men can talk on many too many tv shows about the men playing football, mean and dirty, and honestly voice different opinions. But in tennis there seems to be this rule to suffer in silence and talk a lot of b.s. about how great the William sisters play is when it seems they win by intimidation and fear and most opponents crumple on their own lack of confidence rather than a more honest contest of physical play to physical play, without so much really scary mental-emotional baggage.
Maybe if we don't watch women's singles tennis and the tv revenues drop drastically, then maybe the sport will figure out that something is wrong in the training of these so-called professional/very highly paid 'athletes'.
I can not bear to watch until then.

Friday nite, 30Jan09, San Jose's one night of Stars on Ice
First, the San Jose program insert of the song sequence for acts 1 and 2 had errors on both sides. Heck, it's San Jose and Sillicone Valley ! Would you like multiple toxic computer company superfund groundwater sites ,,,or just major boulevards and expressways with 40 years of untimed traffic lights?!
Second, there were 3 falls: 2 by the women and only one by the guys (yes!) Wonder if the girls had to sing some terrible song for the guys as penance ?
The hottest booty shakers were not the stars , nuts , but Mrs. Jen Robinson and that tall guy(yes! for us tall guys!)maybe Patrice Lauzon with all the dark curly hair.
Yuko Sato, not so much tho she definitely tried in one number. Shorty Sasha Cohen, not so much.
And there were only 5 women and 7 guys-ouch-without the 'only in some shows' of Kimme Meissner(bum-la mer!) and Tanith Belbin and Benjamin AGosto looking like a hot couple in the $12 program anyway, Evan Lysacek another tall handsome dude not there on the ice,,,Even the 'producer' the ever handsome and charming, successful and fun Scott Hamilton did not make a curtain call. Oh, yea,,,it was just the SharkTank ,,,one night,,,in SanJosey.
The direct tickets were $25, $45 and $75 , tho some of the resellers like Ticketblasters charged over $300 for rinkside. Yeah, there are a lot of super neuvo riche in Sillycone Valley. We were in the N.W. section 118 ,just behind a India-n coed that liked to shrill scream ,,,alot. Only howler for many many rows. Yep, right in front of me. Anything in pants, doing anything, and she would let out her Siren. "These are $25 seats,,,these are $25 seats,,,"
Only about 5,000 out of 17,000 seats sold the usher said. And a few years ago the cheap seats were only $8...Talk about tough economic times,,,
They had a voice annoucer of the short famous old Hollywood actress that was in the shootem up western as a barmaid or floozy,,,talking about "champion" and "art" ,,,and "change" on the four corner jumbo tvs, so there wasn't much of a cohesive plot to acts 1 or 2,,,other than this wife of Darth Vader woman's voice. So let's discuss the song selection and the chore-ography and the enthusiasm of the skater/s for each number, shall we.

,,,falling asleep now,,,The cast is not really trying, but having fun,,,More fun than watching it on tv ? Hmmmm,,,
4-C.B.Rae's Since I've Been Loving You with the Fr. couple was pretty and romantic, somewhat ok,,,
5-Feist's 1234,,,ok i know this song and #3 ,,,and Yuko did really really did try to Shake it, so 'A' for effort and 'B' for chore-ography and end product.
6-the amazing, the great, the fabulous CW song The Dance,,,with 2 guys and Yuko,,,it was ok
7-m.w. smith's Song for the King ,,oops,,,which i think was replaced by '16 Tons',,, now there is a song i long to hear.

A 20 minute intermission and the 2, 12 year olds inside the row of us kept wanting by and back, by and back,,,by and back,,,Is there a pen for kids without parents?

Oh, before you go , you have to Google how old Todd Elddredge is,,,they give away a quasi gold medal and toss lots of toys at the end,,,and a signed towel to one of the $$$$$ ringside kiddies.
B2-Was A. Bocelli's beautiful slow moto bene Io Ci Sera,,,and the Chinese couple,,,they are ok.
B3- the Lizz Wright's Stop and the womanly curvaceous Mrs. Jen Robinson,,,but falling asleep again...

B8-Meat Loaf's barely rememberable but ok Is Nothing Sacred,,,and the still youthful handsome athletic and no visible grey long long flowing brown hair 37 Todd Eldredge,,,nice guy, but falling asleep my date tells me,,
B9-Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata,,,and Sasha Cohen,,,,super famous fab piece of music and good ,'B+' chore-ography for a change !! Not sexy, but beautiful. Was this the butterfly wings with the slow crippled wing, goose death spiral sequence ? Beautiful wing costume , for a really short person.
B10-let's see,,,scratch "16 tons" and they gave us the Pop Hot Now song by Duffy, the one where she complains alot,,,Pop song and the (maybe?) 11 cast skate was ok.
B11-final song of REO 's Roll with the Changes and the tall guys were having fun flipping/tumbling the tall curvaceous Mrs. R. so you could see this was only the 6th city on a long slog and at least the crew was trying to have some fun !
The last one /show i saw years ago was with Michele Kwan, and she was so graceful. Rudy got to sentimental on his San Jose mom. It was good. For $25 plus $10 parking a block further than the $15 parking,,,and the $12 glossy program,,, it was an ok show, but i sure think i miss what spark Kimmie Meissner might have brought to the show.

The last one /show i saw years ago was with Michele Kwan, and she was so graceful. Rudy got to sentimental on his San Jose mom. It was good. For $25 plus $10 parking a block further than the $15 parking,,,and the $12 glossy program,,, it was an ok show, but i sure think i miss what spark Kimmie Meissner might have brought to the show.

Stars on Ice is coming to San Jose, one night !, Friday 30Jan09, and the cheapest tickets are $25 !! in these terrible economic times !!
Does the Mayor of San Jose and City Council, owners of the SharkTank even care ,,,that they are pricing out of reach this fabulous show to most of the working poor families of San Jose ?? Sure another business manages the HP Pavilion, but with a big name like "HP" attached to it, you would think someone ,,,hint hint hint,,,would think of the less fortunate and not just the local computer nuevo rich,,,and since 70-80% of the seats are going to be unsold and empty anyway,,,why not some social justice and consideration in having seats for $10 or even $8 ,that i paid for the nose-bleed seats a few years ago. GREAT SHOW !! WISH WE COULD FILL THE SHARKTANK AND LET MORE PEOPLE ENJOY IT !!

Big San Francisco Bay Area secret: Which and how many channels of digital tv will be broadcast for FREE from SF's Sutro Tower
One SF Bay Area tv station says there may be as many as 24 free digital tv channels that you can pick up with a cheap new digital rabbitears on your new digital tv. But most SF Bay Area media is keeping quiet. Why ?
What do we Americans want in American-made cars?
1- door locks that lock clockwise
2-non-sticky plastic steering wheels,,or wood,,or metal
3-get rid of the bloated confining interiors
4-tell us how many clear coats as the more a car has the better quality the paint job,,,and maybe a 10 year guarantee on that paint job
5-in 2008, TDI / turbo direct into the combustion chamber vs carbon fouling the intake manifold injection diesel engine was the tech of the year for one car magazine. So why do we not have that as a choice on many cars sold in the USa ?
6-make a pickup or suv with fancy high maintenance interior for street guys and gals but make a simple hose and soap cleanable interior for us that get dirty often and do not want to spent $200 to detail the interior weekly or monthly. Like the 1951 Chevy surburban-like vehicle.
6-Why not give us a 1960 Corvette body shell ,,,with modern tech engine and steering and braking? Or a 1950s Ford Tbird skin ,again, with modern tech underneath?
7-The redesigned Camaro with a shipbow front is a ,,,huge design mistake. Let your talented designers do their best ,but don't ruin it by committee.
8-Don't waste our time and desire on prototypes and showcars you have no intention of ever bringing to the road. You are wasting opportunity.
9-How many degraded versions of the Mustang can you make ? How terrible a car like the Citation and Cimarron can you make and try to sell? How did that crap ever leave your factory if you ever had high standards ?
10-No more dealer fraud and deception: a car sells for this price ,and no more higher robbery. If you can bargain lower by buying a 1000, fine.

The UPS delivery drivers have it pretty slow up until Thanksgiving and Christmas, so why is it 'ok' for us customers to allow UPS to just warehouse packages, day after day, without delivery earlier than 'scheduled' ??

Epson printers agent says "you can only use Epson ink",,,and the 2 Epsons i have owned are mediocre,,,
,,,therefore, i do not recommend any Epson printer !!
What folly,,,for Epson to think they can overcharge all of us for their inks, and only their overpriced inks !!
Another major complaint about these 2 Epsons i have owned is that they are way too slow and noisy in self-checking before printing !! ,,,wait ,,,and wait,,,and wait,,, FORGET ABOUT EPSON !!
Also, as if anyone would need another reason to avoid all Epson products, is that if you just want to print what is on the screen,,, that option is usually not available/ that checkbox is dead !?!! So instead of having all the options and controls open on one page , you are force to flip through several pages to possibly just make one copy ,,,yikes !!

Some cars,,,SOLD IN THE U.S. of A.,,,have driver doors that open counter-clockwise/logically,,,and many that open CLOCKWISE !!,,,go figure
For about a week i have been beating myself up about this simple little tiny minor problem,,,being put on phone hold for minutes and 5minutes again and again by GMC,,,of why does my Mom's new Ford have a driver's door that opens logically/counter-clockwise, and yet my Dad's Chevy pickup has a driver's door that opens ,,,ILLOGICALLY/clockwise,,,?!!?!! Do we not have a well established custom /tradition in the U.S. that locks open counterclockwise ?
Then why is Acura and Honda selling all these millions and millions of cars, not only MADE IN THE USA,,,but shipped all the way across the Pacific Ocean and sold with mucho DOLLARS IN THE USA,,,and yet the driver's doors open ILLOGICALLY/clockwise. I phoned a Toyota dealer and the salesman told me he never thought about it but did check while i was on the phone and said, "yes, the driver's door does open logically/ counterclockwise".
But then the last time i talked to a Toyota dealer salesman,,, he told me he was a Christian with the big gold cross on his lapel and then tried to charge me a secret $3000 extra,,,shuh !!
I don't know about you, but i would like to go back to the tradition that if it is made in/for America, the it should open LOGICALLY/ counterclockwise,,,unless it is Ashton Kutcher's car and someone is paying him back for a tv expose' "punk'd", ok ? (He is Bruce Willis's x-wife's new husband.)

Shame on you !!, Silicon Valley and San Francisco Bay multi-millionaires ,,,for allowing museum like the Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History to CLOSE
Shame , Shame, Shame on you that are hoarding millions and millions while important civil institutions are closing !! It is January 2009 and i expect every miserly, greedy, selfish, stingy one of you to step up and keep these museums open until other relief arrives.
2 Accura dealerships and one respected independent garage in Silicon Valley forgot to change my manual transmission oil at 30k,,,and 60k,,,and 90k,,,
This is so easy to do,,,but you must insist it be checked as at over 100k miles my manual transmission oil was grey with metal flakes !! BEWARE,,,,
How a dealership,,,two dealerships of Accuras could overlook this necessary service,,,and then a very respected independent service also,,,is very very strange.
So if you change your engine motor oil every 3000 miles like i do,,,be sure to have someone change your manual transmission oil when it is suppose to be changed according to your owners manual,,,and don't just trust the dealership to do it !!

Circuit City only lowered its price by $100 on a '$1400 lcd tv' on Black Friday; Now that does not sound like a sale for a company in "trouble"
This 42" lcd tv was actually marked up to "$1800, but on sale for $1300" on Black Friday the day after Thanksgiving , when just a few days before Thanksgiving it was priced at the only price of "$1400". That is not much of a whoop-di-do Black Friday sale.

A big "Boo" to all those supposed financial experts that are saying this 2008 is just a normal "cycle" or "bubble"
Mr. Madoff and his $ 50 BILLION, not million, ponzi scheme and the reports now that some in the SEC knew as long as 2001 and 1999 about his corrupt fraud but ,typical Wall Street, did nothing about it make these so called experts of finance look like lousy mere propagandists.
Madoff's family probably knew. And Madoff's employees probably knew. And lots of other shameful people probably knew but did not care enough to turn this bum in. Or maybe they did , like it did to the SEC on another criminal, and the supposedly trusted SEC shockingly did nothing.
If Wall Street can not police it self and it does not seem willing, then the United States Federal government MUST be more regulatory and vigilant ,,,or we will all feel like we should expect to be robbed in every public aspect of U.S. culture.

So today is a typical Sunday and i thought i would list all the Comcast cable television channels that do not work today at 1:30pm PCT in Silicon Valley, San Jose, California. Not out in the sticks or rural, but big city and supposed big tech expertise.

Comcast is known for terrible service in this family. We call and they say they will send "a stronger signal" ,,,so for three days we tried that ,,,every day calling the same careless Comcast phone tree. Then they said they would send out a free repair call, but did not.
So i am going to try and talk the family into Dish for tv and Comcast just for high speed internet.

President Bush43 just can't seem to do enough to bury the Republicans for decades and decades, like his last gasp attempt to weaken the Endangered Species Act. And then there is the Treasury Secretary Paulson who can't enunciate what he wants to do about the worsening national economy,,,and keeps rewarding the same excess-profit bankers and Wall Streeters who knowingly got us into this mess with exotic derivatives and CDSs, not to mention the totally illogical A.R.M.s that you would have to be a fraud to sell and a fool to buy !! More trickle down ,voodoo economics that profit the already too fat rich,,,and leaves thousands and thousands of home owners hanging, when the lady at the FDIC's plan to buy up all the sick mortgages makes much more sense ,,,and would cost less taxpayers dollars,,,especially if you count in all the elite's lavish waste on private jets and useless junkets, golden parachutes /handshakes.

Fleeing Teflon non-stick cookware? Recommend "Swiss Diamond" brand at Domus, in Willow Glen, San Jose, Ca.
If you read about the smothered settlement by President Bush and DuPont over the health secrecy around Teflon and maybe watched the Today Show recommend to get rid of all Teflon non-stick cookware recently, you too may be looking for a good alternative besides stainless steel and enamelware like Le Crueset.
I found "Swiss Diamond" frypans and pots at the Domus store in Willow Glen, San Jose, California,1395 Lincoln Avenue,zip of 95125. And i looked all over; at Bed Bath and Beyond i was given the runaround about this or that or those frypans being "anodized" and then asked is that both the outside and inside/cooking surface to learn they were only advertising /talking about the outside surface ! Pretty cagey, eh. And no exact description of what the inside /cooking surface is other than 'it is a non-stick',,,
I phoned the frequented Crate and Barrel and their very pleasant staff but they had no good alternative to Teflon non-stick for those of us very concerned about our health in these dangerous times. Also called Williams Sonoma and they seemed to be only selling and promoting non-stick,,,whatever that exactly means or is.
So far i have bought a small and large fry pan for my parents and my self,,,and 2 large glass covered deep frypans for friends as Christmas presents at about $139 each. The large frypan was about $85-90. My Dad uses metal forks and metal spatulas in it and it still looks like new after almost a year of almost daily use !!

Could use a tv box to allow consumers to reorganize the usual tv channel disorder
So many channels ,,,and so disorganized,,,seems a box or some unit could allow consumers to cluster channels that they use close together,,,so we wouldn't have to waste so much time ,,,clicking by stations in foreign languages or ones we are not paying for,,,
You could also have a way of controlling the volume , so that commericals would not be louder than shows,,,

American Express, the credit card company, continues to deal with tiny fraudulent companies that STEAL YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBERS and use them !!
Acouple months ago i was looking at the monthly AX credit card bill ,as i often have to use it for work and get reimbursed. I notice a strange company name- parent/subsidiary?- and a strange charge for like $69.99. So i called American Express and asked about the company, what did they sell, were they the name i might have dealt with or a subsidiary, and what did i buy. AX said they did not know but if i wanted to go to the trouble of opening a formal investigation, they would. So i did , not thinking much of it for so small an amount.
About a week later i got a form letter saying the charge was FRAUDULENT and American Express had already taken it off my account/bill that i had paid in full anyway !! I phoned and AGAIN asked what does this company sell and how did they get my c/c number ! AX did not know,,,Well, are you going to check my past bills for such a FRAUDULENT CHARGE from the same company? Yes, oh here is another one from the previous month,,,and we can investigate that one too,,,
That one turned out to be FRAUDULENT as well !! And still , American Express did not offer me a new credit card number that might or might not be safer . Shocking. Did they turn this company in to the FBI? Probably not. So i looked in my pile of previous monthly bills and 6 months back i found another one from the same company !! Immediately phoned AX and they said they would look into that charge as well... But why had they not gone back in my records the first or second time, but waited for me to find this 3 questionable charge ?
Later, another form letter that yes the third charge was FRAUDULENT and was deducted from my account. No big deal. No 'we are sorry this happened' . No 'we will stop doing business as usual with this totally illegal, unethical and thieving company'.
I had the new credit card sent snail mail , but the next time i will have it shipped next day air as it seems American Express is perfectly comfortable continuing to take fees,,, business as usual,,, from a company(s) that has tried to steal and use my credit card fraudulently 3 TIMES THIS YEAR !!
So how do you like "deregulation" now ? I will contact the FBI, if they care. And maybe a Senator, if they care. Doubtful. The company is "classic closeouts".

So there i had these hot leather hightops with PURPLE LINING,,,purple tongue end,,,and even a purple edge to the sole,,,with purple inserts in the white hard white rubber sole,,,size 12s,,,even a purple insole !

Then,,,i noticed the soles were COMING UNGLUED FROM JUST SITTING IN THE BACK OF MY BIG CLOSET !! Man, was i bummed. I phoned the local Nike store, Niketown on Union Square in S.F., and the assistant manager said that Nike only stands behind their shoes for "a year, or two max. ". Bummer.
I have had-owned-bought a LOT of Nike's in my long and exciting life. But i NEVER expected a pair of expensive trainers from Nike to just fall apart ,,,sitting in the back of my closet. The really sick part was looking inside the Nike's sole and seeing this brown mystery foam !! disgusting,,,hidden,,, INSIDE the hard white quality rubber sole box !! It was such a design hide.
My oldguy friend called then to say he needed someone to go up and clean his gutters out. Here i had found Nikes that i thot some wench had stolen,,, so i duct taped the soles to the still good leather uppers and walked over to the ladder and spent two days hand scooping glop of decayed leaves out of my neighbors rain gutters (with the too small downspout pipe hidden inside the rectangular downspout=huge design flaw also). My hands got all cut up from the edge of the gutters,,,and i used lots and lots of his water enjoying the 2nd and 3rd floor views of the Bay,,,and i got to wear what i had long thot were a quality-based brand of shoes.
Now i am wearing Asics.

How can Chevron make all this 2007-2008 profit,,,and have such small dividends ??
Wall Street is full of thieves like the Gordon Gecko character in the movie with Michael Douglas. The usa media is letting these risk-shifters off the hook for the responsibility of our current and past economic woes. They are even asking these theives for ADVICE on how to fix the problemS Wall Street created, with the help of lobbyist-bought Congress !!
I had a series 6 mutual fund license with the n.a.s.d. and saw first hand ,up close how corrupt and with full knowledge Corporate America got us into this mess. I complained to the s.e.c. that a coworker was forging 'with customer phone permission' the signatures on mutual fund change of allocation paperwork, a simple and obvious no-no, and the s.e.c. did not prosecute this guy who was the no.1 salesman for an insurance company now owned by a.i.g. , yikes. Sooo glad i got out before the company buyout by aig!! Reeks.
While still in the insurance racket ,i talked years ago with a rep. from Arthur Andersen about his accounting company and he told me EVERYONE ,including Senators, knew that they were paid to lie just like s+p, moody's, and a.m.best and all the other financial rating agencies,,,and paid very very well thank you very much ,as he and his wife were going around the usa looking for a vacation home to purchase.
The usa media may show shock and surprise at the depth of the dishonesty and outright fraud on Wall Street and Corporate usa, but these newcasters have college degrees and inside contacts like i did before giving up my series 6 license, and have no excuse for being used as propaganda tools and character assassins like we saw on Frontline's show on Lee Atwater and the Republican lying 'stealth' scum he worked for,,, Reagan,,,Bush 1,,,Bush 2,,,etc.

Ca. "Yes on 8" voters forgot The Golden Rule
It is amazing that blacks and latinos who have experienced discrimination first hand in the USA were so willing to try to force their religion and beliefs on others.
As if the Catholic or Jewish or Biblical faith and way were the only way !! Such intolerance and self-centered foolishness !! Religion is there for you to guide You in Your life, not control or punish others who choose another or no faith, both of which WE OBVIOUSLY NEED TO REMIND THESE RELIGIOUS ZEALOTS ARE PROTECTED BY THE CONSTITUTION.
Religious intolerance is no better than any other,ethnic or racial or rural or red-hair, intolerance. The Bible does not give you as a true believer any power over others, so let your own life be your example and stop trying to run everyone else's life because of your Hindu, or Christian or Muslim or Animist religion.

John McCain is WAY TOO OLD AND SICKLY to be President
Give the old Veteran and Keating-tainted Senator a break and let him live out his last few years with his pretty wife in peace .
